Hey guys

does anyone know how much for a full rebuild on a b18c6 in the glasgow area..??
ov it depends on whats found to be wrong, but just a general figure.
The engine runs fine now so there cant be much wrong.

im wondering where and how much for a b16/18 conversion in the glasgow area!!

I think there was a thread about conversions on here today,
some members where saying they could come and do it for a few ton.

Me and a mate have just rebuilt my engine ourselves (well mostly my mate who's a mechanic... LOL).

For Parts and Machining it cost me around £1K... however I did use oversize pistons so If you are just honing with new rings and new bearings + gaskets you are prob looking around the £500 mark I guess. Labour is obviously another thing...

Performance Tek

Have a number of friends who have had both standard engine rebuilds and high compression builds etc from Gerry, all have sung his praises

Will be contacting him myself to build my new high comp B18 block :nice:

yeah keeping the internals stock.
Just want to know everything is in good condition.
I know the valve stem seals and tappets are needing done.
How many man hours did it take.??
just to give me an idea of labour.

gerry has a standard rate for a full rebuild, his work is warrantied also

hes a busy guy though so best to give him a call during the week, number is on his site
