the engine mounts are fecked in the ek9 and want to replace them with a set of after market items but which brand?

want something good not solid mate got solid bushings made for his race car and couldnt sit in it and they cost a fortune, so want something harder than stock and not way over the top prices can anyone recommend any and were to buy them??

Well mate, take HAsport mounts. You can choose which rubber you like, soft, middle or hard. Call them and order.

Avid mounts are less expensive than hasport I think. If I go with aftermarket mounts I'll probably get avids. You can also fill in your stock mounts of your choice of hardness urethane (urethane not window caulk). That will stiffen them up, I know there is a couple writeups on the web.

hasports is good, innovative is also good, they both make nice billet mounts, or you can do what i did, just fill your stock mounts with industrial grade urethane :nice: its not the prettiest but it works great!

fill them with urethane or window caulk!!! :nice: it's the cheapest thing to do & it bloody works 2!!! :D

Here you go:

Hikaru, what are those pics for? are they homemade or store bought?

Home made, you just fill up the gap with urethane.

IF you buy those from Spoon or Mugen, they all did the same way as well by using the OEM mount and fill up with urethane and charge you for a premium.

Anyone try spoon engine mounts?

i ordered these over 3 MONTHS ago!!! :angry2: from Nengun (btw: upgraded site!), hopefully will recieve them this month. . . :nice:

unfortunately no feedback on them in the meantime but i will post feedback when fitted... also fitting Torque damper same time!
