Engine management light CEL codes

Last night when in my car the engine management light came on, first time its ever happened so i pulled in switched the car off waited a second then started it again. After a few minutes driving it came on again.

So i searched the forum and came across this in someones thread The new cel thread (how-to & codes) - Honda-Tech

I found a two pin plug but it wasnt beside the ecu it was behind the centre console in an empty holder with another plug.

I bridged it out as said and turned on the ignition but the cel light flashes in a on 1 second and off for 2 pattern. The ABS light seemed to give a pattern??

Any ideas guys :please:
 
hello,

same thing is happeing to me. I have a EK4 VTI. found the same two pin plug located in the centre console. Also next to a Three pin plug. So i bridged it and only the ABS light seems to Flash.
I do think its only the ABS Light that give out the fault code. But i do hope someone out there can confirm that for me ???
 
Got my mate to plug my car into diagnostic today code was:

02s (h02s) (s1)
Voltage low

Faulty lambda sensor, get one ordered up and problem solved!
 
Just to clarify, did you get the error code from the CEL light? Or the ABS light?

I'm getting a pattern from the ABS light but a constant Engine light when the car is on :( and its not giving me any codes from the CEL light.

Tried the advise on here about clearing the ABS codes, but it just comes straight back, so frustrating.

Hi mate the CEL light didnt really give a pattern it was the ABS one that did, not sure if it was right or not so got my mate to plug it into diagnostic machine, much easier :)
 
Ah right, so maybe it is hiding behind the ABS light, letting that one give its codes out first, damn thing.

Error codes for my ABS are:

54 Fail-safe Relay
and
81 CPU

Damn thing :( I need to go to someone with a diagnostic machine.

not long got a ek9, my engine management light keeps coming on sum times keeps cutting out on me. can anyone help thanks

get a diagnostic on and you will find your problem you can do this yourself or bring it to a garage.
 
thanks for the reply i have done it and i think i got code number 14 IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve. will this have some thin to do with the car keep cutting out on me when i stop at traffic lights ? thanks cal
 
just fitted a 421 manifold and decat to my ek9 and its making a tickling noise when i acclerate i think its blowing from the manifold i put the gaskit on what came with the manifold but for some reason it dont look right and dont sound right any one help please
