engine light suddenly turns on/lights

here is what happened i was driving going for a car wash..when i was about 15 meters away from the carwash my check engine light on the dashboard suddenly lighted/on.. it was a steady light not blinking or anything..till i parked for the wash bay, i let the engine idle for about 10 seconds then i turned the engine off..waited about 10 seconds again and turned the engine on again..no more check engine light..till i drove home, parked my car and everything was normal again..

any of you guys have experienced this kind of scenario?

what does a steady light of the check engine means?

my engine is a d15b with a P08-N01 ecu

When the CEL is lit that generally means there's something wrong with the engine. Next time its lit try getting the code. I think there's a guide on here somewhere

thanks bro...but the CEL lit steadily..not blinking like throwing a code or something..it just lit steadily.

It wouldnt blink to show a code, if it comes on again - in your passenger footwell you will find a blue plug (generally tucked next to the centre console), seperate the smaller blue plug from it, bridge the connecti oins in it and your blink code should come up on the dash. Remember, one long blink is ten, short flasg is one. HTH

so i have diagnosed it and its code 20-Electric Load Detector

what are the things i need to check?
