Hi, I've not long bought my ek9 and straight away I put it in the garage to check over suspension components etc as my last 9 had a few things wrong suspension wise, but everything is ok,

so next I want to check to make sure everything is ok with the engine, I've gave it a service as soon as I bought it and to be fair it pulls really well, better than my last 9 but what do I need to check engine wise to make sure a is ok? I heard someone mention compression?

I don't feel there is anything wrong with it but I just like to know for sure before I start spending money elsewhere, thanks in advance

Compression check for starters, as you mentioned.

Im just going to say this from experience, if you think it's running fine then don't go trying to find problems.
If its not broke don't fix it basically.

I would agree...looking for an issue really may cause one to start.

If its closed, nothing opened up, then leave it be. Honda does a great job and they are very reliable power plants, well, until something goes wrong. lol

A compression check would not hurt tho. Or a peak at the spark plugs and their condition.

Changed the spark plugs about a week ago, with Fuchs Titan race oil, hamp filter etc so I know it's good that way, it's just my daily driver so want it to be running 100% all the time

How did the plugs look?

They were quite black and worn to be honest, I put iradium one in it this time, after the service the car run really well so I'm hoping its all ok, as I say I just like to be 100% sure if these things
