hello all just sharing my experience to hopefully help others with the same issue, so i decided to change me dizzy as the one i was running decided to make the rev counter go nuts on Vtec.

firstly i tried to fix the old one with a new coil and it made the engine light come on and it run really bad. so i decided to buy another. put that on, now the car wont start. so i changed it back to to the first one, still no luck. it sounded like the car had no compression. so i rung a few Honda specialist to see if they could help me find out the issue and they said check the dizzy isn't 180 degrees out. it didn't seem to be as the dizzy goes in one way. . i changed plugs rotor arm etc still no luck. after a week of head thinking and refusing to let it defeat me i not moved on to valve timing. i checked and checked and something didn't look right. the exhaust cam was fine at TDC but the inlet was way out.

my first thoughts were how can the timing be out buy just changing the dizzy. i though right what have i got to loose so i dived in the deep end and had a go at adjusting the timing. after tuning the engine over 12 times buy hand to make sure i had done it right. so i made sure it wasn't flooded but disconnecting my injectors, take in the plugs out and took the manifold off to let the fuel release. loads of fuel came out. immediately i could tell it had compression so i put the car back to together and started it. it started first time needles to say i was dancing around like a fool. it runs so smooth now. going to take it to a Honda specialist just to make sure ive done it right.

i hope this helps. i have a few pictures but are not uploading for some reason.]
