EK9 Front LCA

hey guys

i went to get a road worthy inspection not long ago, and my mechanic notified me and advised me to get new front LCA's as the bushes are on the way out

that saying, he said the local CIVIC's had different styled LCA's compared to the EK9's, so this leaves me with an option of paying 400 bux AUD(or US dollars) EACH SIDE!

i found that stupid and ridiculous, so now i'm here, trying to find out another way to not spend 800 dollars on FRONT LCA's

can someone shed me some light?

which cars are interchangable? can i change the bushes only? any other options?

if anyone has any secondhand items their willing to sell and send to australia?

any help would be greatful!

you can buy the bushes seperatly, ones out of ek4's fit. im not sure if Honda sell them but you can get some aftermarket polybushes for them for sure.

All ej,ek front lca's are the same... I've just put new bushes in my front lca's can get them from a complete set or order them seperate from loads of different makers, hardrace, superpro, energy. etc. no neeed to buy brand new arms. I bought a complete hardrace kit that contains almost all the bushes on the car for around £180. HTH

Just not EJ1 or 2 as that would be 92-95 coupe shape.

But as said. You can get a full hardrace kit for under $200 in the US so I would be going for that. May aswell do the lot. Just leave the main Rear trailing arm one OEM as its supposed to move.

The original LCA's on my EJ6 were different from EK9 ones. The section the ARB bolted onto was different, so I had to buy EK9 arms to fit my EK9 roll bar
This is how the droplink attached to the EJ6 arm

Instead of it attaching horizontally like an EK4/EK9. Other than that there is no difference fitment wise

I would personally rebush them as the other guys have said

It definitely looks very very different
