EK9 Exhaust Spec??

Can anyone explain to be the spec of the stock ek9 exhaust, i.e. piping diameter and inlet?

From what I understand, the manifold collector is 2.5", then goes into 2.25" piping straight through? Is this correct?

Thanks Blinx. A pretty interesting read. So basically the b16a and the b16b have the same exhaust diameter, except the collector on the b16a mani is 42.7mm (1.68") and the b16b is 57.2mm (2.25")?

no, b16a exhaust diameter is smaller than ek9, i had diameters but cant find them now

the oem ek9 exhaust is pretty amazing for a factory piece

It says the b16a and b16b have the same exhaust with the diameter ranging from 48.6-50.8mm.So does this mean the b16b's diameter is 50.8mm?. Can anyone confirm this?

I measured this yesterday.

The Internal diameter measured 52mm on both the oem bpipe and the inlet to a spoon sports street muffler.

the b16a an b16b pipin are dif the b16b is a bit bigger than b16a....the b16b exhaust is REALLY good for a standard system

i should have my oem b pipe for sale soon if you want it, the backbox though its a hks

yes i would buy it but i need mufler oem too. i need silent exhaust.

buy new mufler and i buy it from you complet exhaust

i have buy new one but piping was 51mm inside and that is too little for turbo d16 setup. i now bigger is better but i wish silent exhaust.

well should be gettin another cat back system within the next couple weeks if all goes well. where abouts do you live ?

I run a stock Exhaust decat back, a decat D) and a stainles 4-2-1 mani with 2.5" collector and it performs better than my old Buddy club spec 3

just to let you know that turbo cars aint near as loud as n/a cars so you could put an exhaust on that would be loud on a normal civic but ok on your car as the turbo acts as a silencer. i put a oem ek9 cat back on my ek4 and it was a very good exhaust got better mid range power
