EK9/DC2 cat and MOT

hi ppl , need some info .

i´ve a 200 cel high flow cat in my EK4 (Vti) and didn't pass MOT by a nail where the limits ( PORTUGAL) are CO 0,50 idle and 0.30 2000 rpm up.

Whats your MOT/CO limits in UK?

Does the small EK9/DC2 cat pass your emission tests?

I ask this because i want to install some EK9 /DC2 cat to pass MOT and have some higher flow cat than my longer stock cat.

My ek9 and vti both passed with no CAT fitted. Have no idea with the emissions limits are here though. I know what some people do is take their car out for a real good blast before the test as its meant to help with the emissions!?
 
You may be able to improve the emissions by smashing the car through a terraclean or similar system if you have them in Portugal, or maybe even getting the injectors ultrasonically cleaned. What elchunk said worked to get my Civic through an emissions test a couple of years ago. Terraclean then sorted it the year after and I have now replaced the cat with a hi-flow item, but yet to put it through a test.
