Ek9 5 Studd swap to eg5 question

Im doing a 5 studd swap on my mates eg5 esi.

Can i just swap the rear wheel bearings over rather than the whole trailing arm? The eg5 already has rear discs.

Have done a bit of research but can find a definative answer.

I never actually did it in the end but researched the same thing and was under the impression you can... the only thing that causes an issue is swapping 5 stud bearings onto rear 4x114 hubs as I read that the spindles are longer... but normal 4x100 hubs should be fine...
