EK4 Track Car


Organised a dyno day on the 27th of april so will see what this setup has got.

Also doing a quick compression test tonite.
 
Well i am more than gutted here went down to the garage to give the car a check up after i'd finished started her up only to have a massive pool of oil under the car.

So i stuck it on top of the ramp and got my boss to sit in it and start her while i was under it. so what i saw was a load of oil coming round from the oil pressure sensor ( the standard one ) so we took it out to ptfe it and then found out somthing horrible wich i will let the pictures explain .....

I am seriously hoping this is repairable Basicly there is a crack in the block awsome.












 
Are there more and more track cars being built or what? I love it!
 
You don't mess about anyway, are you able to get the crack aluminium welded ok?
 
the engine is at the welders at the moment he says it's nothing to worry about it's only going to cost me 30 quid for the welding and 20 quid for MTF3 and 30 quid for an oil change.

So not to bad just allot of hassle.

Next project is getting the cage in and also some harder springs.

In the mean time i've got my eye on a bmw for some skids.
 
So today i orderd up some stuff :

ITR MC
IRIDIUM plugs
Sump gasket
RBF 600

Also spoke to meister R about some new coilies. will be getting some of there new range coilovers soon me thinks

also started to clean :
