Been on the forum for quite a while now and decided to show you guys my old rust bucket. It's a 1996 EK4 Ferio. I bought it from a mate of mine in OEM state and with 300k km on the clock. I don't have any pictures of it from that time thought.

Here are some pictures after a few months of ownership; fitted an eBay fake SiR lip, lowered the car with H&R springs / Koni adjustable dampers and gave the bucket a nice wash and sealant treatment.

I've made a few updates on the car during the last year of ownership but before posting them I need to find some pictures of them first :p

Looks clean and so does your garage.. 4th picture is very cool :nice:

Thanks guys. I've found some pictures of the modifications I've made during the first few months of ownership.

I've been prepring the car for an engine transplant so I refurbished the suspension with Hardrace bushings all around except the rear trailing arm, that bushing is from an EK9 and replaced all ball joints and droplinks. I don't have any pictures of this but either way...they would bore the b-jezus out of you.

Here's a video of a 0-140 km/h run still with the first engine and a little over 324k km on the o'clock, with a custom rear muffler and winter tyres on Speedline rims. Really got a good start :D

I've ditched the custom muffler for a Magnaflow box

After the suspension I've replaced my brakes with ITR DC2 98 Spec ones. Refurbished the calipers, mounted a DC2 MBC, Tegiwa MBC stopper, HEL braided brake lines, Ferodo DS2500 pads and Motul 600 RBF

Got some tidy OZ Superleggeras and bolted them on with Muteki SR48 lug nuts in Neo Chrome finish

Skunk 2 dual bend short shifter with Energy suspension bushings and custom bushings in another linkage part cause the stock rubber ones were falling apart. This is mated to a Spoon shifter knob.

EDIT: any idea why some of my text appears to act like a link?

Now it has over 330k km on the clock. Bought some new headlights for the old lady :)

Wanted to know what was left in the engine after almost 330k km so I decided to join a local Honda club dyno meet. Mid-summer, over 33 °C and the car showed 152,6hp@7900rpm / 144,6Nm@5700rpm. Almost 20Nm more in the lower revs than a similar EK4. Pretty good result.

Since I've owned an ITR DC2 before this car I sure missed some of it's character. I decided and bought these to give the Ferio some more "character" :D

Keep us updated. is that a memory stick in your cd player looks weird lol

Awesome progress :)

Yup...that's a usb stick in the radio :))

I don't have so many pictures of the progress but I did find some of them on my computer. There should be more but I don't know where :angry2:

Back to the engine. Was really lucky to get a 70k km B20Z block and crank which were in top condition. The block went of to the shop with a torque plate on it to get bored and honed at the right size and angle along with the rods to get line-honed and crank to get balanced with an ITR flywheel which was slightly lightened before.

This was replaced by an ATI damper.

Sump baffles mounted and painted the sump.

During the time the block was maschined I got a hold of a 2000 ITR DC2 head. Here's how the OEM finish on the head looks like.

And some other goodies that were starting to pile up :)
