what exhaust for an Ek9 have people seen the best results from ??

thinking of getting a different exhaust have a mugen twinloop on at the moment

From what ive heard the Mugen twinloop is not the best exhaust for performance. Even looking at it you can kind of see why it's slightly restrictive.

Good bet is Skunk2, Buddyclub systems etc.

The one that best suites your modifications. Generally its the ones that are 2.5" and have the straightest path to take with the least resistance. Such as the spoon N1, Apexi N1, Amuse N1, 5igen, Fujisibo, there's loads!!!

Only worry with alot of them is volume at trackdays in the UK (not sure if ireland has the same restrictions?)

This is your answer down to a T. :nice:

hi mate, i get told to 'use the search function' too

So seeing as its nice to be helpful and isnt too much effort to type...from what ive seen and read ect i think (and the exhaust i'll be going for) is the spoon n1 exhaust. they have 2 options of back box, race and street. either way you can buy a noise restrictor to bolt into it if its too loud :)

Intake & Exhaust - Type R (EK9) - Civic - Products

imo everybody goes for the spoon exhuast because of the label! I know its a very good performer but there are others that do just as well without the silly price tag...

Don't go with the bung option if you find it too loud. You will loose a lot of hp just by putting a silencer in the backbox

I bought my 9 with just a Spoon N1 backbox and found it too loud. Got a Fujitsubo
RM01a now and think it's perfect. A bit quiter than the Spoon N1 I think and performs very well

2 weeks ago I heard a HKS Hi-power catback and was really surprised ! This catback is really silent and noise is beautiful.

I will buy one if I could ...

its kinda down to personality too lad, if you like a quieter exhaust or a mental sound like spoon n1 or 5zigen fireball are my favourite, not too loud driving handy but a big bang in vtec
