hi, my speedo started goin crazy on my ej9 driving home tonight, going up to 140 and past it while i was doing about 50-60, got home turned it off and it wont start again. checked the plugs and air filter no dampness at them, checked the fuses as well.

its showing plenty of fuel and has only done 170 miles on this tank and its not leaking but it just will not go

no EML or anything either

any ideas?

had a wee check today getting spark aye , fuel pump goes but no fuels getting to the motor so am thinking its the injectors or fuel rail?

Is your fuel pump priming? Double check all fuses. Also can you hear the main relay clicking when you switch ignition?

From reading what was happening to your speedo in your first post Im 99% this is a bad earth mate!

Check all your earth straps & my money is on it being the gearbox one;)

Sounds like a bad earth to me as well, I can't see what else would cause that to happen and unless its a huge coincidence then its going to be linked to your starting issue

Hi, new to this site and don't know how to start a new thread
2003 type r cuts out after 10 seconds
Hi everyone, bought a type r a few weeks ago parked it up the next morning went to it and would fire up but cut out after 10 seconds, number 2 injector wire not pulsing so have tried another ecu but still the same, have changed all sensors? Help

Had this problem a few years ago puzzled me for a couple of days..there are a block of cables under your air box if you strip it all back you will see them they are yellow in colour sometimes they get wet or disturbed and short if you just wiggle them and try and start all should be good..don't no what they are for Honda them selfs couldn't solve the problem I just read up on it and someone had the same problem..thank god for the Internet..lol hope this helps anyway

cleaned the earths, they were all fine. car starts with fuel poured in the intake but it cuts out after a few seconds. fuels getting to the rail so it must be the injectors causing the problem. how do i check if its the injector relay or if its needing new injectors?

was a bad earth, took it to a garage, must of been one me and my mate couldnt see at 4am the night we tried fixing it haha. cheers guys

aye thankfully wasnt something that needed new parts haha skint enough as it is!
