Yea he only sells the coilovers for £499, not the eibach springs themselves.

Nemore savings? :D

I think they are the same...

the product code of E4020-140 is the same on both websites, and in the info section on Motorsportworld is says they are the pro kit.

I got my pro kit for my ITR from Motorsportworld and was cheapest i could find.

Thanks guys, cheapest is from that site den!

And cal, ill give a call, although theyre based in chesire, if they were closer i couldve also asked them to fit! damn lol

Hi Guys

i've a question about those springs. Cause right now im using stock EK9 suspension on my EK4. I want to lower the car a bit, lets say 35 to 40mm.

Can i use these spring? because from my understanding the EK9 springs/shocks already sit lower then an EK4 Vti.

Will it drop the right amount with the springs or should i consider something else besides spoon.

hope u can help me out

greetings

Bump^^ wondering about that same thing. Gonna lower the civic, and have ek9 suspension, but I'll also need a set that comes with tüv approval to get it legal.

In your case the Pro Kit won't make your EK4 lower, you will need the Sport Kit.

Time for a small investment into a set of nice coil-overs! :nice:

Really, dont waste your time and money with only springs when at your fingertips you can get coil-overs, good ones to boot!

Yes they cost more...BUT NOT BY MUCH! lol
springs and shocks= $750 USD
equal quality to springs and shocks= $860 USD

Now make no mistake, I am not talking super race car set up here for $860 USD.
Pro-Kit springs with Tokico Illumina's
vs.
Tokico Illumina Coil-Over's.

Cant tell you how much not being able to adjust ride height bugs me, and knowing its only $110 more just really hurts. Dig?

Hope this was helpful.

does anyone run eibachs on their 9? had them on the clio 172 and were great.

have you considered Spax springs?

very good quality and very good prices compared to other brands out there

30mm or 45mm springs available. both £125 including vat :)

Spax are poo poo! They are no where near as good as the Eibachs. Also, the spring and shock kit is pants and doesn't lower the car very well at all. Customer service is just as bad as their products too.

BTW - Eibach pro kit springs on EK9 shocks does lower the car significantly more. You will get about an extra 25mm lower. So it is a good mod.

The price difference between springs and coilovers here in the UK is massive.

Cheapest set of decent coilovers here in the UK is £500 (Meister R), whereas a decent set of springs would be £115 (Koni). If comparing aftermarket spring and shock setup to coilovers, then I agree, it is more worth while to get coilovers.

ofcourse it is worthwhile getting coilovers over springs, but some people dont have that luxury.

spax are completely fine, i have used them in the past, springs on one occasion, and a spring and shock kit on another...i had no issues whatsoever. they have the same warranty and aftersales service as everyone else. i dont know where you are getting the idea their customer service is poor as i have never experienced it...perhaps you have had a one off, or perhaps youv heard forum chat

but spax are just as good as any other for springs... no point getting jaded ideas that fitting springs to any car will produce track cornering ability and perfect ride, becuase they wont, but they do their job fine

eibach im sure will be fine also, but just to add i have had terrible service with one of their products in the past that drastically failed and almost killed me! doesnt mean to say that happens week in week out

for a decent spring kit at a very decent price, spax will do the same as any other buddy so dont be put off buying them :)

Pretty sure spax are 2 year warranty aren't they? Eibach are 5...

It's a pretty common opinion that Eibach are the best quality though. Look at the listings, its not just a case of chose a car and thats the spring, often they are different springs for different engine sizes, power outputs and axle loads...shows that there is more testing etc done.

I'm only going by what people have said on forums. A lot have had trouble with Spax products. The most recent story involved a chap having trouble with the rear shocks and springs on his set and when he called Spax they weren't very helpful.

Possibly they're products may be better on other cars, I'm not sure. But they don't have a very good reputation with some of the Honda bunch.

By all means give them a go, but I would suggest it is a lot better to go for a a product that many use and can recommend.

hi im looking into the eibach pro kit for my em1 coupe aswel. just wondering will they sit ok on the stock springs in the em1? because its only 35mm im hoping that wont put too much more pressure on the standard shock? i want to lower the car but havnt got the cash to get both springs and new shocks or good coilovers.

thanks
