EG6 SiR B18 and Pulsar Gtir

Blue???

Lol I would love to know what colour it is exactly aswell, as it would make life alot easier for me to get the tailgate sprayed. Non standard colour that the last owner painted it. Similar to ford RS blue I think, But no quite.

After a bit of research I have found that the colour is Ford Imperial Blue Pearl. Same as the old Escort Cosworths apparently.

that pulsar grille looks so much better in black, good move!

nice looking workshop too, if someone asked me to work on their lotus with a side mounted rover turbo engine id just walk away lol

Wish it was my workshop, its just where I work. I get to use it every other saturday when im not working.

LOL Funny you say that as I had to do almost that last week. The car came back in for a cambelt and engine seal overhaul. Soon as I seen it it said I wanted nothing to do with the job haha.

Also started putting the trims back to black around car. Was too much of a solid colour, plus I like the contrasting 90's styling with flat black plastic trims.

Have only done the front bumper as a tester to see how it came out and how it lasted. Turned out mint in my eyes. I used a can of black Plastidip which is a removable plastic coating. Looks just like bran new bumper plastic and is removable at any time. Just need to find the time to do the rest of the car now.

lol sounds like a right nightmare, seeing cars like that just reminds me how easy it is working on the eg6

whats the dented spoon coloured car in the back? looks interesting!

Lovely EG & you're doing a great job with the Pulsar. Should be a cracking car when you're done with it.

Keep thinking of this more an more every day working on european crap and modern junk with engine bays crammed in tighter than your internal organs.

The Spoon ish coloured car was my mates Banger stock car. Would have been quite the car in its day. 94 Mercedes 300e 24v twin cam straight six 3.0l, even has an older form of variable cam timing, suspect much like an early Vanos. Went like stink and lasted 3 years. But died this season with electrical failures that out weighed the value of the car.

Got a few new snaps of the pulsar as it sits. I got sick of how high it was. The whole 4WD stance har har... was just not cutting it. I decided to butcher the springs as It only sits around and is only a matter of time till I get some decent suspension. Unfortunately I got carried away, cutting 1 coil didn't make faf all difference so out came the Oxy and I heated the springs to make them sag. Worked great to lower it but unfortunately I could never trust a set of heated and sagged springs. So new suspension has moved up the priority list on the car haha. I had a few sets of wheels knocking about so thought I would try some.

First off nothing special, think they are calibers. 17x7

I had set of BBS RgII/ Opens for sale a while back as they just didn't suit anything. I tried them on the car a good while ago but they just didn't gell. Gold is not my thing, Not keen on things that bling and stand out to much.

But then once I found out how rare they were and how bloody light they are at only 5.6kg as a 16". I thought might try them again since lowering. Much more suited. Think I will just get them re coloured at later date in a gunmetal colour of some sort. :nice:

always liked the pulsar's but couldnt tell you the last time i seen one in the flesh :) nice turn around :)

Few more pics.

When a few of the GTIROC came over for mini road trip.

The day I plastidiped the rest of the trims back to black.

Great call on going back black on the trims, it breaks the colour up much better. Rare to see these nowadays for such a cool car.
