Had this problem for a while now and im slowly loosing it, yesterday i went round everywhere i thought it could be and applied clear silicone accordingly

Areas covered:

Windscreen seal
Rubber connecter things at scuttle panel
the welds on the inside of the door/arch in line with A pillar
underspoiler/boot lid/ hinges

Only other thing i can think of is through the bolt holes for the cage which i noticed are not filled with any sort of silicone

Yesterday after wet vaccing the carpet untill bone dry and driving with the heaters on the foot setting at full pelt the carpet was dry and is now slightly damp from sitting over night ? i highly doubt there is a hole on the underside although i did go over a huge speedbump and it scrapped a bit on the underside but surely it would have had to land perfectly on a stone or something to puncture through

really annoyed by this now as i would hate for the car to rot in any way as its spotless

any help would be hugely appreciated !

Cheers, Chris

Anyone ? seems to be around where the flat side of the floor pan starts to curve up under the dash ?

Having a similar issue on my ek mate. I have sealed up the join behind the arch liner in a bid to stop me removing the dash. So that could be an option for you. Not sure how similar ek/eg's are tbh. Have you got a sunroof?

what type of sealant did you use ? might give it a go really dont want to be removing dash boards :( i have no sunroof mate so rules that option out, apparently eg's were recalled due to this leak if its on the seam where the side joins the bulkhead but i cant see where its coming from its jst sort of wet with no tell tale signs of where its from, going to blast it with the hose and see if i can see it coming in, might remove the scuttle panel but not sure how it comes out ?

Have eye check the heater rad in the dash to see is that what's leaking?

Ill give it a go although im not entirely sure this is where mine is, mines is also an eg but thanks for the help may well even be what im after :p

Not tried that yet as i dont want to remove the dash :'( but i will have to if it keeps leaking.

You mightn't havto take out the whole dash, just the glove box an the heater box behind it,

Apparently you cant remove the heater box without removing the dash though :( bad times

Need to wait another month till
Im in my unit although dont want it sitting like thar for a month its no soaked just damp
, but still dont want it to rot

Do the simple stuff first mate. Remove the scuttle panel.
Remove wipers then if its like ek's just a series of plastic clips to pop out and have a look under that. Make sure its all clean etc.

Yeah gonna order some of the clips as they will most likely break being 20 years old haha

Thats wise mate. Im gonna try find a 'how to' on dash removal haha

Been told i can remove the heater box without removing the dash so gonna try that out on sat first
