I bought an EK9 with no engine. a 99 face lift model.

I took the b16a2 from my 98 pre-facelift ek4. the EK4 also had a 98 spec EK9 ecu wired in. (37820-PCT-003 )

The engine wire loom on the EK4 had three plugs that ran straight to ECU. all thats left in the EK4 is the green connector.

The EK9 already has an A connector, aswell as the green connector. The A connector is the same connector on the engine wire loom.

When I plug it all in I dont get the engine management light on dash. Even if i swap the A connector.

Is there a wire harness I can get that will allow me to run a 97 spec engine loom in a 99 civic.

Thanks

the engine bay loom just?

is the obd2b loom the same for ek4 and ek9?

would i be better to try source an obd2b ecu aswell ya think?

So i have been getting myself up to date on the whole OBD differences.... thanks for putting me down the right road Chrissy

The engine loom is OBD2a , the dash loom is OBD2b. I considered swapping the dash looms, but after taking both dash boards out, i still have the imobilizer carry on in the EK4 to deal with. so I found an OBD2b engine harness. Can any one recommend where to get the OBD2b to OBd2a converison harness?
