Hello all,

My name is Erik. I'm 25 years old, I'm from The Netherlands and I've been a Honda fan as long as I know it. So as soon as I had the money, I bought a CRX ED9 1.6i 16v (D16Z5, stock 125hp). This was unfortunately not a good base to make some modifications on it, so I sold this one and bought a good ED9 (with 150.000km/±97.000m). Also with the Z5 engine.

I made some standard mods to this engine (intake, exhaustheader+exhaust) but I got the chance to buy a B16B with S80 tranny engine swap, so this is running in my CRX now (transforming my ED9 into an EDK9 :D)

But after a month, I found out that this engine is using a lot of oil (1:400km/1:250m) and now I'm letting the engine rebuild (see the list below).

I've talked enough for the moment, so here are some pictures and the specs so far:

Honda CRX EDK9

Exterior:
- 16x7 Lenso VDP with Toyo T1R (195/45/16)
- Spoon Style mirrors
- OEM EE8 (CRX VTEC) spoiler

Performance:
- B16B engine swap
- S80 LSD Hydro gearbox
- Skunk 2 double valve springs and retainers
- Jun intake (rear)
- P30 ecu (re-mapped)
- 2,25" RVS exhaust
- Remus 2x76mm muffler

Suspension:
- Tenzo R front upper strutbar
- Tenzo R rear upper strutbar
- D1 rear lower strutbar
- Lightweight D2 Racing sport rear lower control arms
- KW Var 1 coilovers
- EE8 (CRX VTEC) 262mm brakeswap

Interior:
- ITR Recaro's
- QSP 3" 4-punts Harness
- RVS Harnessbar
- Rear interior removed
- Carpet removed

Audio:
- Sony MEX-BT2500
- JBL GTO6508C
- JBL P6562
- OEM Honda Bass Tubes

And now the mods I'm putting in my engine while it's gonna be rebuild:
- Skunk2 pro serie valves (high compression)
- Skunk2 pro serie valvesprings
- Skunk2 titanium valve retainers
- Skunk2 Pro Series Cams gears Black
- Skunk2 Pro Series Cams pro 2+.
- Skunk2 Fuel Rail
- Skunk2 Aluminium VTEC Solenoid
- Skunk2 VTEC Solonoid Cover
- Skunk2 Cam Seals
- Eagle crankshaft (B18C)
- Eagle pistonrods (B18C)
- Wiseco performance pistons (B18C)
- OEM Honda N1 crank pulley

This will turn my B16B into a B18B ^^
After all this is done, I'm getting a re-tune for my car so everything is running smooth!

As soon as I got some more pictures, I will post them here!

Greetz, Erik

very nice indeed, always like seeing these cars being maintained.

very 'fat' setup :) sad that this is not an original EE VTEC..but thanks to that car is lighter ;)

Thnx all! This one has no rust and sleeps every night and in the winter indoors :)
So I'm a very proud owner! ^^

Yeah it is "just" the ED, but like i said no rust. EE's I've looked at had always rust so this was the best buy at that time.

And I thought that most of the weight difference was in the engine/gearbox?
Not sure what rolling chassis is heavier....

which trans mounting u using.? did u need to mod any mounting in order to fit the b16b? u using hydro or cable clutch?
