Drove my mates DC5 yesterday


You're overlooking two major factors: b series lack a gear and 200cc's which give the edge to the K's down low. Other than that take both standard b18c and k20a in a dc2 vs ep3. The ep3 crawls next to the dc2. Not that impressive as stock

And which engine is more tuneable?
 
step dad baught one recently , it is nice to drive and comfy . was quite surprised how crashy the suspension was tho , maybe due to the low profile tyre . pleanty of grunt tho .
 
The dc5 is better than the ep3 and fd2r.

Clearly you must have posted this comment on the day you stopped sniffing glue!

The fd2r is the most hardcore stock type r. Every one who has ever driven one or been a passenger knows this.

The b16 in the 9 makes 25bhp more than its capacity, so dose the fd.
The integra is just a soft version of the dc2.

Go and ring mr honda in japan and even he will tell you the dc5 couldnt hold a candle to the fd2r.
 
I was a passenger in my mates fd2r

All I remember was the bumpy ride on the stock suspension!

Btw the dc5 has more power than it's 'capacity' too - that's 8bhp less than the 4 door saloon I just mentioned above.

They are extremely capable cars if not quite as raw as an ek9.

A bumpy ride doesn't make a poor car either
 
The ride is bumpy from stock, thats what happens when you have track suspension on a road car.

Try and send a dc5 round a corner like an fd2 i know which one would come out of the other end quicker.

If you look at the capacity to bhp then it would explain why the b series engine feels more brutal.
 
I have a ek9 and they are raw but the dc5 is a awsome car I think the ep3 are good just common now my.mate had 1 250 bhp n it was quick with a 1.5 lsd but still cudnt pull off the line till 3 was evan which is ashame thought it wuda smoked my lil 1.6 off line
 
My point was I remember the bumpy ride but not the blistering performance

To me the dc5/fd2r are different peas in the same pod

Thats because you were a passenger. Try sitting in the back its worse.
You just have to look at lap times of both of them to see hands down the fd2r is a more hardcore focused car.

Of course its bias i drive an fd2!If i wanted a dc5 i would drive one.
The argument that was made said the dc5r is a better car than the fd2r.

Fact is my remapped b18c swapped ej9 does far lower times than this, makes more power with less displacement therefor the fd2 is shite next to my car loooll. My point is don't stick to numbers.
