Hey,

I've got an extremely annoying rattle. At first I thought it was the speaker box and cables, so I removed the door card and stuck them to the inside of the panel with a glue gun but it's still rattling.

The only other thing I can think of it being is the metal bar that links the door handle to the catch. It seems loose, can this be tightened in any way?

Any other ideas what it could be? Definitely coming from drivers side but it could be coming from further back than what I thought, boot perhaps?

maybe the lock on the inner door handle is loose... 1st check if its loose, then unscrew the lock handle to dismatle. Widen the pin holding the plastic bit (lock)... this bit will slot back again tighter fixing the rattle...

its hard to explain with a pic of the lock, tho ihope u understood what i meant.

think i have the same rattle.lol. comes and goes when she feels like it though.

yep my lock rattles...but I can't be bothered to look into it!..

i just accepted as a "Type R" thing

its part of the personality..id go german if i didnt want rattles and things to fix.lol

I've got this rattle on the drivers side door too.

Thought this only came as extra on Type RX's :D

I wouldn't normally care, it creaks and rattles like a Type-R should:D But, this is a new rattle which I think I've pin-pointed to one panel.

Help me fix it!!:D

Haha whoop  !!! - Me got one aswell, suprise suprise 2000rx !!!

One way I got it to go away was lock the door when ur driving mate, that should make it dissapear. Solved mine anyway, lol just gotta unlatch the lock again before you get out (oviously) lol.. Didnt wanna give a half explanation on how to do it and have some poor begger climibin out the window !!!! :D

Cheers -Andy

My Toad Ai606 automatically locks the door after about 5 seconds of turning on the engine, so i'm never driving with the door unlocked.

Fixed!

It was the rear bumper. 4 of the 5 clips were broken, damn UK roads rattling them about I suspect.
