Door clicking when open/ close

Hi all

My drivers door is making a click from the hinge area when I’m opening and closing the door when it comes to the position where it holds. Happens every time.

Any idea what it could be?

The item you need is called "check straps"

Iv just checked on Honda Europe, drivers side is discontinued
72340-S03-003 drivers. maybe @Dzero4 can supply this item for you if its still available from his supplier contacts.

i can still get the passenger side if required.
just DM me.

DMed you! I need right and left side on my EK1 3-door.
 
In my opinion, I really don't think the "door check" piece is messed up and making the clicking sound. I think the mounting for the door hinge or door check is loose (or a weld is cracked). This will FOR SURE make clicking noises. I had a cracked mounting at the door check (car body side) a few years ago, and it clicked every single time. The body shop that painted my car in 2020 welded back the broken welded nut behind the door check mounting for me and bolted it back on and the sound went away forever.

I replaced my check straps. Didn't touch anything else. Clicking is gone.

Do you mean you can get the RH or the LH?
