The reference number is supposed to be 11 digits, but mines seems too be twelve, therefore i cant tax my car. Any one have any ideas why its 12 digits?

All I have is the green new keepers slip, I am waiting on the full log book coming but I needing it taxed. Probably just gunna have to wait for it to arrive
 
If you tax it off that the the disc may be sent to the wrong addressz
 
Yeah I thought that but then at least it would be in the system as taxed. Cheers.
 
Yeah you shouldnt tax it with just that. I had this problem once so I phoned the DVLA. If the prev owner has not sent the rest of the v5 then you need to go down to post office and request another form with proof of insure (ive forgotten the name of the form you need). You can then get a tax disc at the post office, then just send the form off to the DVLA and they will send you a new v5

V62 form, you can't tax it with out logbook, new keeper supplement, or the tax reminder form had this ballache before
 
I have a green v5c slip and it is asking for an 12 character ref number but Ming only has 11? Help plz
