Difference between ek4 and ek9 side mirrors

Hello guys, I wanted to ask if anyone know the difference between ek4 and ek9 side mirrors. As in do the ek4 mirrors power fold after pressing the folding button like the ek9.
Also, is the wiring the same for both cars?

Ek4 & ek9 mirrors are the same shape. They are both electric however ALL the ek4 VTi ones are heated where as Only SOME ek9 ones are power folding. None of the ek4 ones are power folding.

From memory, the wiring is the very similar if not the same

Thanks. Weird how someone is selling a pair of ek4 side mirrors off a 4 door ferio and he said its power folding.

So I asked him and he said it came off an ek3 and it's power folding. Is that true?

I'm not 100% sure but I think there is also a relay for the folding mechanism somewhere in there, which you'll need. Best ask someone who's done the conversion. And obviously you will need the switch as well. Maybe the folding mirrors were optional on all japanese Civics, so perhaps it is an import? Just ask him for a picture of the switch, if it has a button for folding you should be OK. Make sure the picture is his, there are so many con artists out there these days it's unbelievable! If it is a UKDM EK3 then unless someone has done the conversion the mirrors are not power folding!
