Difference between EK4 and EK9 Engine Mounts

Hi All,

As my first post in EK9.org, I would like to find out if anyone knows if there are any differences between the engine mounts for the EK4 and EK9.

I have an EK4 Ferio Si sedan and the time has come to replace the engine mounts. Just wondering if there are any advantages to be had if I went for the EK9 ones. And more importantly, if the Type R pieces would actually fit the B16A4.

Will the transmission mounts also be the same?

i am almost a 100% sure they are the same mate, you could always buy some poly inserts you will feel a difference then :)

Have considered full poly mounts or inserts but car is driven daily and never sees any track time. Willing to sacrifice that bit of extra response for a less brutal feel. :)
 
Exactly the same. In fact any manual ek of the 3 mounts will work. Even D series.
 
I got a tube of window bonding from my motor factors and packed all the bushings in the engine bay and let them sit for a few days before refitting...

apart from a bit of engine vibration, gear change responses are super sharp!! :drive: best 16euro I spent! :)
