"Delay" with clutch disengaging at high RPM

Hi I have noticed this issue with my newly acquired car. My gearbox is in good condition.

In normal traffic and driving conditions the clutch engages/disengages fine.

I only run into issues when I am shifting at high RPM. When I press the clutch in at high RPM to shift down gears it feels and sounds like there is a delay/slowness with the clutch disengaging, which is not good when trying to make quick gear changes.

What could cause the issue?

I've bleed the clutch, adjusted the rod for the clutch engagement point, and just changed transmission oil with Honda MTF. Clutch is an Exedy unit according to previous owner.

Thanks

Yea its DEF your clutch .. Same thing was happeneing to me not to long ago .. You should really start looking into a new one .. Hopefully you can catch it in time cuz I wound up changing the clutch pressure plate and flywheel as the rivots on the clutch ATE through the fly wheel .. Best of luck to you and don't sleep on that wouldn't want to spend money on things that can be avoided ...

I don't know how old the clutch is, but it feels like it bites good. Can't feel any slipping. So when a clutch struggles to disengage at high RPM that is a sign it is worn?

what about when going uphill and you 'floor it' do the revs rise but the car doesnt go any quicker?

How long has it been happening for?

But this happens when Im changing from 3rd to 4th gear around 8000rpm. You will definately feel it if your clutch was slipping.

I'm talking about DISENGAGING the clutch when im about to change from 3rd to 4th.

There just feels like there is a delay when I press the clutch down to when it actually disengages in this situation. Could this really be caused by a worn clutch?

In theory the speed at which your clutch disengages, shouldn't have much relevance to the speed your going. Have you tried to bleed the system? that would be my first port of call.
