Got here B18C6 Stock motor(11.1:1 comp ratio) . Its UKDM DC2 ITR. Its my daily driver, so dont want to build full race runner, want to get most of the motor keeping it as streetable as I can, and keep good enough MPG on soft city driving. What is the best option on N/A cams? I have KMS dual valve springs with Chromoly Steel Alloy retainers ready just want to decide with what cams to go... Dont want to open the motor change pistons or rods, but just cams with springs and retainers. For springs installation w/o tearing head apart from block got this: http://i43.tinypic.com/30ixnwo.jpg Want your input lads.

There are cam options available that fit your need, but what ECU do you have installed? Stock or after market?

its OBD2A, will be getting conversion adapter to OBD1, have P72 ECU ready for socketing and mapping with chrome pro or ectune. will work with pharable ostrich 2.0 too.Car has big air filter with 70mm pipe, dc-sports 4-2-1 header with decat pipe and ~2.6" catback exhaust... receiving AEM tru-time cam pulleys soon... want your voice lads

Skunk2 Tuner S1 cams make pretty decent power while still keeping Stock spec Primary lobes so MPG shouldn't change out of V-TEC. Seen a pretty basic B18C1 (USDM GSR) make just a little under 200whp with the S1 cams.

I'll try and post the Dyno vid when I get home.

sweet, but skunk2 pro1's are pretty expensive... seen obx and brian crower cheaper... any way these are any better?

Tuner Series, not Pro. Pro's are good for better Mid-Range but due to the bigger Primary lobes your MPG goes down which you said you were trying to keep or improve correct? The Tuner Series keep Stock or Close to Stock Spec Primary lobes so Fuel Consumption shouldn't change while out of V-TEC.

OBX is good if you don't mind the Piece mind that it's a cheap product and could fail at any time... Specially something internal. BC is ok, there's a recent thread on here talking about them, you should go check out that thread.

get a better header to start so you won't be choking your cams.

Yes, an Intake and Exhaust System that can actually make use/flow the additional air would make for a better upgrade if not done already. Plus Aftermarket Exhaust/Headers normally weight less ;)

Breathing mods are on... just as for header Im still on the hunt... I would love some more low-end mid-range power over the top end... as the gears are pretty short I would also be thinking in the future getting 5'th and 4'th gear of USDM LS teg and replacing them in my box...

The VTECKIDD RMF Narrow makes some very good numbers for the price, should look into that for your header.

I have a set all ready to go in, please post the dyno and your mods:bow:

Check the "Crossover" Video thread I made, it's the Blue GSR Dyno. Made 193whp.

bra neva know you form Hawaii, can you trow me a link to da vid, tanks.
Neva mind I when fine'm myself.
You one do dis tru the exhaust eh? Not bad bra, even on low compresion GSR...

Haha, yeah.

Sorry neva understand dis part
"You one do dis tru the exhaust eh?"

And yeah not bad, 10:1 C/R

your dyno bra stay exhale tru da exhaust, instead of uncapped, 19tree HP is good on 10.0 CR as the stage 1 stay kinda big already, really is ment for da 11.0 CR. I when hear dat da 1/4 mile stay closed down eh? Bra how you going to race? I going post my dyno when I thro da cams in. You running dem straight up or you get a set of gears?

Uncapped I assume you mean Open Header?
And yeah there kinda big for only 10.0:1 C/R but it's mostly the timing events that determine what you want your C/R to be, not so much the Duration. Just wanna keep your ECR up to get the most of the Cams.
And yeah HRP wen close down long time ago, but they stay build another Track down Kalaeloa, they get Dirt/Rally already, they just gotta make the Drag and Circuit course.
And that's not my Dyno, it's somebody else', I was just doing some reserach and stumbled across that Dyno Vid.

So, I have readed about CTR vs ITR cams differences and found out at last that CTR cams have 3 degree more duration on primary lobes, and over 1.2mm more lift on high vtec lobes and few more degrees of duration on vtec lobe, so this is clear to me now how ppl are making ~7-10whp more out of CTR cams over ITR with a very good tune. What I'm going to do as just for now Im going to throw in CTR cams alone.
I will make a dyno run before cams and then some time later with cams (car untunned)

then will get ECU ocnversion to OBD1 and will map it, will see what happens after... #1 Dyno run should be this following tuesday night! So will post results after ;)

Should I utilize my AEM TRU TIME cam gears while installing CTR cams or keep them for some more juicier cams? I dont know If I could benefit anything out of them just with CTR cams... It wont be dyno tuned soon and its a daily driver not a drag race or anyything too special... so .. what do you think??

00-01 ITR Cams are the same as the CTR Cams.
The only diff. is the 3*, there both still 11.5mm Lift.
Gains are virtually nothing.
