:nice:
yeah! here you go!

bracket/piller on the underside of the airbox!

nice install, however i would revise this mounting, you wither need to mount the airbox soley on teh chassis or soley on the engine or gearbox.

your engine moveas about under acelleration / decelleration and at some point something is going to break as you have half your airbox mounted on the body, and half on the gearbox.

just a little pointer..

if i were you i would take that lower mounting back to one of teh pre tapped m6 holes on the chassis leg :nice:

would be perfect then :drive:

good point!

the mounting point on the ITR box has a floating bushed rubber insert which does move quite alot if you tug/pull on it!this does compensate a little with the engine moving under it!

the position of mounts on teg box make that very good point to attach to (i have same as manbond as he made me some)

your right about engine movement but using oem intake pipe so as box moves pipe has plenty of give so fine, i run new mounts so maybe problem would worse on older mounts
donr plenty road miles and few trackdays and been fine, mounts have huge rubber washers as well so even more security etc but would like to see others

umran ill have another look next week when the light nights are upon us!if i find a suitable location to reposition the lower mounting leg ill knock sumet up!

here are the brackets i made for me and iceman! icemans have countersunk holes on the top bracket as mine was the prototype one and i havnt got round to finishing mine off yet!

top bracket

CNC'd top plate with intergrated washer on the underside to raise if off the angled chassis/bulkhead,acetal piller to make it look simialiar or OEM to the ITR airbox

bottom bracket

simple bracket to offset it further away from the wing and to stop it fouling on the bottle just in front of it!
Image002.jpg

this one holds the box steady nearest to the engine no pics as it right under the rad pipe!

all in all its very solid and doesnt move at all!

Beats B&Q brackets anyday of the week eh umran!!!

When I put it like you I've got a problems with closing bonnet because of strengthening inside side of the bonnet :(( it stops on the top of the airbox - I can close it but it's not in right height...
looks like the airbox is too high regarding compensating reservoir
maybe somebody got better pictures ?
I found alcarp EK this one and looks good -

maybe you mate can make some pictures or describe it better :)

What about the bottom?

I should put it a pipe for the oval part, but it is too large.

How could I resolve the problem? I know the resonator plastic tube is fit, but I can't obtain it.

i did this to my coupe the other day...used a 100mm billion air duct , ran piping up into bottom of dc2 box, dropped in a spoon filter and i find it alot better than any induction kit

Isn't too big the 4" (100 mm.) pipe?

You know I have an AEM V2 CAI, but in winter time I'd like to play for the safe side. That's why I bought a DC2 air box, but I haven't resonator box (btw. in the EK civic hasn't enough place for the DC2 resonator box... )

I plane the tube will goes to the lights.

I afraid of the water damage (CAI in winter) but in spring time the AEM V2 CAI goes back :)

No 100mm pipe works perfect:)

dc2 air box does fit in my ek. i have one bolt holdiing it in never moves
