Does anyone have any experience with D2 coilovers? I was really after TEIN but my budget is not allowing at the moment, however the is no point wasting £500 for inferior kit. I know there are four different models, so would be good to know which (if any) people are using (see below)

Can someone provide some insight? Thanks alot :D

D2 Racing Sports suspension system currently comes in four different models :

* Street Model.
* Track Model.
* D1 Drift Model.
* Rally Model

D2 are hard like a sheet of wood

on perfect road it very nice but when it become bumpy the car jump :((
somme person like when it is hard other not

chose a combo like blistein b6 and eibach spring
or tokico+ground control

it exist many combo which could be adapted to you driving style
you have just to choose the good one

I used to have d2s on my last car and they were pretty good to be honest. I never had any problems with leaks etc
However as KimKen said they are pretty harsh for daily/road use if you are not used to them.

I'd deffo have another set though, but this time round get a lower spring rate

there is a guy selling tokico coilovers on the forum for £550 delivered, they are meant to be pretty good! its in the sponsor marketplace under wheels tyres and supension

6 of our employees use d2 coilovers.. we all love them.

2 nissan 350z
1 ITR
1 GSR
1 s2000
1 bmw 135i

and soon to be on my em1 and my DA integra.

we drive our cars daily and track them heavily, they have stood up to what ever we can throw at them.

I have a set on my EK3 ViRS saloon and i find them more than comfortable (have front and rear shocks set on a fairly soft setting) I like them and i cannot find fault with them and i have driven the car on some of the worst roads imaginable and they were absolutely fine. Maybe the fact that the EK saloon is heavier than a hatch has something to do with it but theyre certainly not a stiff or crashy suspension set up.

i must point out that d2 have revised there coilovers since late 2007 and since have fixed any problems they had with the old versions because they cleaned up there act and now all coilovers have tuv approval which i might add to my knowledge k-sport coilover don't have to date

so what would be the best model to get then?

* Street Model.
* Track Model.
* D1 Drift Model.
* Rally Model

For those who actually want to buy D2's for an EK, it would matter what they are doing with the car. For a street driver who likes it softer, street would be best. Track for those track/street drivers. Rally for a rally car, and drift for somebody with a RWD drift car.
I would not buy D2's just because there is much better stuff out there for the money.
