so recently bought a 1990 crx zc, i got in contact with a previous owner of the car and she informed me that the original engine had been removed due to a blown head gasket, and another d16a9 had been put in. i found pics on her instagram of the car and after looking at the comments it appears that the car has had alot of engine trouble even with the new d16. the car was drivin from south mimms to central scotland to get it home with no issues, how ever...the engine seems to be gettin very hot, very quick, its had an alloy tegiwa radiator fitted and this gets very hot very quick aswell..... it dosnt seem to be burning oil or anything so i just want to know if this is going to be the start of any problems, or a good way to keep the engine/oil cool....i have an eletric fan on the back of the radiator aswell which comes on after a few mins of the engine running and im also thinking of getting an oil cooler... any help or advice welcome, thanks guys

Coolant doesn't seem to be circulating possible water pump or t/stat issue

kk cheers mate, im wanting the engine running good for now, i do plan on doing a b16 swap next year but dnt want to be replacing the d16 in it as this is its second one :/

To be honest you'll get bother wit it either way crx's aren't the greatest cars for reliability and can be a pain sourcing parts I had a crx vtec a year ago and ended up ditching it

yeah, im havin alot of trouble sourcing parts for it :( i dnt want to ditch it yet without a fight, want the engine running for a year or so and then im gona think about putting a b16a2 in it, its totaly gutted on the inside and has a 6 point weld in, suspension is all set for track use aswell so it grip the road like a go kart :L
