I am going on holiday to Cornwall this summer, me the missus our little boy and my parents. We have an Accord 05, but with the baby seat in it makes for a tight squeeze to fit 2 adults in the back. I have been looking at rental cars, and wondered if anyone has experiance with the CRV and child seats.
only other cars i have looked at are estate cars like Passat and Bmw, but my mate has Passat estate and looks about the same size in the back.
Anyone got any ideas? i would like to hire a Rangy or Freelander but they cost too much.

I've got a crv with a full back kids seat in it. You'll struggle to get two adults in there as well. We normally have a booster seat, another child and the kids seat, there's not much extra space.

If your child can manage in a booster seat it will make a big difference.

Thanks for the reply. Our little boy is only 20 months old so he has to stay in a baby seat. Looks like a people carrier type of thing.

Could possibly try the baby seat in the centre of the back seats, if you're looking for a people carrier have a look at the frv. My mate has one for his family of six and its much nicer and conifer than most 7 seaters.

Thanks Dave, i did think about putting the car seat in the middle, did'nt know if this is possible, at the moment i use the isofix, but have used the belt too.

Also did wonder about the FRV, just cant find one thats for hire yet. Thanks for the advice.

So if anyone wants to rent me their FRV, name your price.

Just get something big and safe. I'd be looking at the euro Ncap ratings as apposed to the car its self :)

Possibly going for a Ford S Max, NCAP 5. Looks comfy and is said to be quite economical, will probably do about 1500 miles over the week.
