Picked up my subframe brace and steering rack from powder coating
Did it in 20% gloss black.

Received my energy suspension bushings for the rack and F+R sway bars

Received my Acura order recently mostly stuff for my suspension.
Received ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, Steering rack rebuild kit, steering rack boots and a whole bunch of bolts and nuts. Still waiting on the Honda order to come as well.

My plan is to port match the inlet to 70mm tb. And put a -6 AN fitting on the bottom of the manifold for the brake booster line.



I am still unsure on whether or not I want to shave the RRC manifold of all of the unused ports and other things and powder coat it black. Or just leave the manifold cast and plug all the holes up with NPT fittings.

This week after my school exams I will assemble the steering rack and drop off stuff for powder coating.
Starting to run out of things to do on the car since it hasn’t been painted yet.


Over the weekend I went jetsking with my dad for father’s day
Havent been out on this all year so it was nice. Of course it’s a Honda too!

Currently I am waiting on the following to come in the mail.
AMR coilovers
AMR front and rear camber kits
Honda order with bolts and wheel bearings.
Hybrid racing black mounts with black bushings
Wireworx milspec harness, conversion harness and charge harness. (should be 2-3 weeks until I receive this)
 
Last week was a busy week for me!

Thursday I went and picked up a practically new Hytech twin loop exhaust. I decided against the 3” exhaust for now due to money reasons and time issue. Might do it at a later time I will have to see.
The hytech is 2.5” I’m sure it will do just fine with my car.

Friday I got a pair of type s axles that are perfectly fine. And an 06 passenger side axle that needs a boot replaced on it. My plan is to run type s driver side with the 06 Si passenger side. Wont have any issues and easier then swapping inners

Might swap the inners on my spare set of type s axles so if one we to break I can easily sway them out. Or just get another 06 Si pass side axle

Messed around with the RRC intake manifold a bit. Took of some of the little oem fittings that I wont need so I can put some NPT caps there instead.

As for the brake booster I plan to use on of these OEM holes. Thinking the center one. Im going to find the thread pitch and get a converter to -6AN for my brake booster and drill out a hole right into the plenum.

Droppped off these little pieces for my trans to the powder coater as well as the eg/dc subframe which isn’t pictured. I have some other misc brackets and my VC to bring there when money comes in.

Went to see how my mugen wing looked and if the color matched my paint.
Didn’t get any pics of it on the car but it needs to be resprayed to match so I will get the mirrors and wing done as well. Just means that I have to take off the mugen badge before paint! Really hope it comes off okay!

Deiced to use on of the ports on the bottom. Took a drill and bored it out a bit so it wasn’t to small of a hole.

Found out my seat bracket on the Polepositions do not fit though I was told they were for an ek they do not sit right what so ever so have to contact wedge engineering for those!
Places a small order from hmotor, ICB, RHDjapan for a few little trinkets
Need to shave my VC asap to get it powder coated!

Put some brand new Energy suspension bushings on the comptech bar. These were a lot beefier then the old bushings..

Hope to put my subframe on the car in the next day or so. Need to flare the rear brake lines and fuel lines before I put the subframe up.
Received my jegs order so I can do both of those. Also should be receiving my acura and Honda order so the trans can come apart and throw the diff in and be ready to put the trans back on the motor.
Really need the mounts and coil overs to come asap! Getting my stressed out!
 
Didn’t get as much done as I wanted on the car yesterday but should hopefully get a good amount done over the weekend.

Earlier in the week stopped by and picked up some spoon parts from the volk king Blazed
Grabbed the Spoon Kevlar cover and a beat up spoon oil cap.

The oil cap will have some changes made to it to suit my likings. Hopefully it turns out the way I want to! Kinda made that you can not get a replacement sticker for the oil cap but its okay.

Another huge mess of Honda parts. Looking through it again I forgot what I even ordered. This should cover everything hopefully! There are things in that pile ranging from grommets to ep3 Idler pulley to A/c pulley for my daily since it is making noise.

Mounted up my prop valve right about where I made the hole for the harness. Not sure if it will stay here or not. Its pretty close to the back wall not sure if the bends will be too tight or not will have to see. Not a big deal if I have to move it though.

(the black paint is por15 I placed over the welds so nothing will rust out my bay just incase.)

From past brake line tucks I have seen friends and other do I always see that the driver side front brake line sometimes interferes with the clutch pedal and the pedal stopper.
So I decided to use some soft line I have laying around and route it up and away from the pedal. The route I still need to check out with the pedal assembly bolted in.

You can also see to the right are the lines from the master.

Also have my wireworx engine harness as well. I wasn’t baller enough to go with the cool guy Raychem wrap but I am really happy how this one came out! The pics do no justice to the harness. I will wait to put it on my motor bc its still all dirty!

Wireworx did a really great job I would deff recommend using them to people. Xavier kept me updated and made sure we were both on the same page with what was being done on the harness. He even let me do a slight payment plan because my paypal had an issue so I didn’t get a refund back right away from something else. Cant wait to see the harness on the actual motor and in the bay!
 
Went and got my rotors and fly wheel cut

The rotors have sat for almost 2 years so they acquired a bit of rust over that time. I decided that I didn’t wanted rusted faces underneath my wheels so I painted some POR15 on them before I got them cut. Came out pretty decent.

Installed the Wireworx’s conversion harness. Got a little confused on which wires needed to be soldiered up and so I texted Xavier and he cleared it up for me and even sent me a diagram. Awesome customer service right there!

Could not get the rear lines done in the engine bay because ran out of tubing sleeves somehow. Now that slows me down from getting the Subframe all mounted up which sucks.

Should have all of the interior back into the car real soon. I cleaned and redied the carpet black as well but forgot to snap pics of it. Once I install the Black ek9 seat belts most of the plastic pieces can go back into place too.
 
Took a little break from the engine bay stuff and decided to start to put in some of my interior

Since the brake line tuck was done and conversion harness was in I could throw in the dash and carpet.

Well I ordered a set of CTR seat belts which I thought were all black but they are basically a shade darker then the USDM ones. It was deff a waste of money but I said screw it I have them ill throw them in.
Will end up doing some harnesses when I decided to put the roll bar in down the line.

Started to play around with fan setup for the tucked rad. Had some relays laying around that we made a little test set up. Found out one of the relays was no good but check both fans and they work.
These move quite a bit of air for such a small fan and they are super quiet too

Gears look like they are in really good condition I can tell that the trans was opened before because of the scratches on the inside where the top C-clip is. Maybe the gears were replaced under warrantee not really sure but everything checks out to me!

Had to call it quits on the diff install due to needing to borrow a friends larger compressor to get the bolts on the FD gear off. Will install the rest tomorrow after work!

My dirty motor I have been neglecting to clean! Once its clean and trans is done the fly wheel and clutch can go on so its will be ready to be put into the bay soon!

Brought my motor to my house to do some cleaning. Was a bit hard in the dark and with out the power washer. It came out alright might need to use the power washer when its not so late at night. I know my annoying neighbors would have called the cops if I used it at like 11:30pm

Last issue I need to take care of for the trans. Since the original trans was an 05 and I bought and 02-04 clutch case I need to plug the VSS hole up. I thought the plug from the 05 would fit but its too small. Need to address this real soon!

Replaced a few things on my motor.


Put a new idler pulley, water pump on, put on the pass side mount that was powder coated and a few misc bolts as well.

Got my manifold back from the welder. I tried something a little different this time.

Instead of using the NPT plugs for the holes I decided to weld them shut and just shaved them to look like they were OEM. Pretty happy how they came out.

My car for one will not be going to IA and neither will I decided it was not worth the rush, madness and risk to bring the car down. Will save some of my money and put it toward a tune and some other things I need to get done!

I had a bit of difficulty getting the driver side on due to the on the chassis where the compensator arm goes to. The nut fell out of place and I tried to get it back there might have to cut open the area to get it into place.
 


Got some water proof relays for my radiator fans.

I need to still mess around with mounting my Radiator to get it to sit how I want.
Once that’s done I can make all the AN hoses.

Wasn’t really happy with the way my front calipers came out color wasn’t what I was looking for and the rears did not match. I ended up stripping them down myself and using some caliper paint. They turned out pretty nice and near the color I was going for.

Finally figured out something to plug the vss hole on the trans. I found a freeze plug that was laying around that was a great fit. Put some Honda bond on it and its good to go. That thing isn’t going any where

Got my valve cover back from powder coat. I sent it out to the same place I used for my old B series Valve cover to get done in Candy teal because I really liked the color combo.

Have to do something about the shifter cables. Not a fan of how they are sitting but I made sure they were secured to the body of the car so they will not melt from the header. Tried to run them a few diff ways they end up binding bc of a sharp bend.

Picked up a new Idler pulley belt for my EP3 set up. Can any one confirm that its 50.5 in length had a hard time getting it on but I was in a rush and it was late at night so need to try again.

Also finally got my VSS back from a friend of mine. He broke his Vss some how when he changed his diff a few weeks back so I said I would lend him mine until he gets a new one. So he just gave me the brand new sensor

I am still really up in the air about the teal Valve cover. I love the color and the quality of this places powder coat but I am not happy with the whole look of it on in the bay. I personally think it’s a shade or two darker but getting a candy color to come out the same every time is next to impossible I know that.
I might just get a new black valve cover done and see which I like more. I am more for the simple and not flashy look in the bay. Sorry blazed if I am copying your valve cover you are an OG an all hahaha

I need to finish mounting my Rad cant get it to sit the way I want, then once that’s done I can do the AN lines for the rad. Need to get my brake booster tapped for the -6 An fitting so I can paint and Run the fuel and booster line how I want.

I dropped of my full race traction bar to get powder coated wasn’t a fan of the goldish bars so sent everything to be done in black. Also sent out a VC to get taken care of as well trying something different.


So currently I have an issue getting my fuel pump to turn on. Xavier from wire worx has been helping me trouble shoot a bit when I had some time. Kinda fed up with the car so taking a few days off from it.
I attended wekfest this past Sunday and saw some sick cars which motivated me to get mine out. Kept getting asked by a few car buddies who I haven’t seen where the car was :(. They thought I was bluffing that it wasn’t going to come.
 
Okay i had some time in between classes quick to swap out the conversion harness. Put the new one in and pump turned right on!
Car didnt want to start just yet need to adjust fuel pressure and calibrate the TPS and swap my new throttle cable on. Forgot my lap top so i couldnt do that. Possible tonight if i get my hw and out of class early i will get her started!


Picked this up earlier in the day as well.

My friend came up with the idea to color match the VC to volks.
The new powdercoater did a good job on it!
Its pretty close in color i wonder how some brand new volks would look next to it. Both rims and VC change in diff light. Either way i am happy with the VC. Cant wait to see it in the bay!

Well figured all of the fuel pump issues which seemed to be some sort or error with the conversion harness. Wire-worx sent me a new one and it turned the pump right on!
Messy interior I need to finish putting together now that all of the wiring is good!

I need to adjust a few things to smooth the map out a bit. Need to bleed the coolant more so there is not air pockets and check for any fluid leaks.
Ground need to be made and hidden on the motor.

Reset the odometer before I started just bc and the axles were moving while it was up in the air.
Also realized that I have not put many miles on this car since I owned it! Bought the car and cluster had 49k on it .

I got the CTR mirrors, Mugen wing, Si front lip and underside of the hood painted.

Got a text with some pics of some parts done. I went down to the body shop to take a look and everything looked good. Wing and mirrors need a quick wet sand and buff and they will be done.

Right now I am waiting on my fix for the rear brake line that got kinked.

Also have some random pieces coming in that I never got to ordering.



Interior is almost back together forgot to snap pics. Left off a few panels just in case any trouble shooting needs to happen. Also need to put my spoon wheel on too just trying to keep it from getting damaged.

Also got the coolant system bleed decently need to test it out when its running.

Idle is adjusted better now just need to get the TPS calibrated 100%





Ohh another update right now crashed my daily driver so might have to hold off on a tune and figure something out.

Well so since I was stranded most of the weekend decided to put some time in on the car. Put the rear seats as well as most of the other interior in. Waiting on putting the seats in after some misc wiring is done. Spoon wheel will wait to go on till after the alignment don’t want it to get damaged.

Fixed the rear brake line that was kinked. Used some AN stuff I had laying around.

Got my hood back from painting the bottom of it. The old paint had no clear and was dirty and stained so took off the oem stickers and resprayed it to match the fresh paint in the bay.

Bolted up the fenders and clipped in the side skirts to get eh car more complete.


Had my friend who does auto body line all my panels for me so there is not stupid gap or sag any where.
He went a little OCD and ended up aligning my trunk better, rear bumper, tail lights and gas door. I didn’t mind!


Really glad I went with silver on the calipers I like the contrast of silver on bronze wheels

Found out my center caps do not fit due to the axles and the 36mm set up. Might try a 3mm or 5mm spacer see if that works

How it sits now! Wing mirrors and front lip should be on this week! Also have to put the rain guards on.

Well I keep throwing a VTC solenoid malfunction code for some reason. So I read that it could be 3 things. VTC sensor its self, Vtec solenoid, or the front screen behind the tension is clogged. So swapped out VTC and no luck there. So took of Vtec solenoid and replaced it with another on I cleaned well. Went to put it back on and some how the damn bolt snapped in the head. That really ticked me off and I stopped working on the car for the day. Ended up bothering a friend to come take out the bolt bc he is always good at that. Bolt came out no problem need to find a replacement bolt and hope that solves the issue.

Really love how the seats feel in the car. Need to grease up the rails bc they have been stuck in the same position for quite a while so it was rough moving back and forth.

Matching door panels and arm rest to the head liner and rear seats.
Might put a Tunerview on the block off plate so I can keep an eye on more things while driving the car.
Winter time I will prob put the cage in and get some harnesses.
