Im in need of some help. Im going to change my clutch and flywheel this weekend. But it will be the first time I do this job, my friend is coming by sunday to help me out since hes done it before, but I want to know the steps/procedure of doing it. That way I wont be completely helpless when he comes by. Thanks.

edit: I have a 98 ej6. D series, clutch is OEM.

step1: take off slave cylinder line, axles, pasenger side engine and tranny mounts, take off the ground and all other wires/sensors/etc... put a jack under the tranny and another under the motor, unbolt the rear mount, then the tranny bolts, then remove tranny.

step2: remove pressure plate, clutch, and flywheel, clean shift fork, install grease on ALL contact points

step3: install new flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate using alignment tool and tq to spec, put some grease on the pilot bearing too.

step4: reinstall it all and fill your tranny up with pennzoil synchromesh fluid :)
