Well seeing as I cant afford an EK9 let alone the insurance.
Any one have any opinions / worries on either or.
I can insure (weirdly) both for roughly the same price but clios seem to be cheaper to buy but my only concern is reliability.
Any help from people as I know some of you have had clios in the past
Cheers in advance :nice:

Edit: won't be getting anything until after Xmas so I'm not looking at getting anything yet

the wee 182's are actually not to bad man, plus can get them cheap these days.
Whats about a mint 205 gti or somethin ? (pretty cool) :D

^^^^^^ Would have a 205 gti over a clio pfft so common. the gti's are awesome little cars :)

Would love one but it's not practical, I didn't have my car for 2 days and it caused caios so a car that old isn't an option

had my 172 5 years and was perfect, used hard on track, good on fuel and better than an ek9 on a super tight bumpy b road.

Yeah, it would be the 172 I think although the back end of the 182 looks better don't think it's worth the extra but on bothinsurance and such
Just so you know it would be the mk3 mr2 (the gay one)
Those videos on YouTube Lee?

Video doesn't work for me!?
You saying the 182 isn't worth going for?
What kinds power do the 172s put out.... And don't say 172 lol

well ive heard that all the clios 172,182 and 197 all make about 10bhp less than what their meant to, unless your lucky and they are actually what their meant to be.

if you havent driven one, id advise you do. the driving position of my brothers 1.2 182 shape put me off clios for life. if i was to buy one the first thing i would do is bucket seats and nice dishy steering wheel lol

Renault Sport Clio 182 - Bring on the noise! - YouTube does that work?

172 ps.

most put out less than 165 on a dyno.

Cheers for all the help guys
Well im driving an ej9 ATM so 160 onwards is plenty haha
Out at the moment so I'll watch those videos tonight
Yeah I'm guna keep an eye out for one close and take it for a test drive just to see if it's worth changing car at all
I so 50 odd mines on motorway everyday so the 2.0 is the main reason I want one, don't get me wrong me little 1.4 isn't pathetic but it's useless on motorways :(

what about a eg6/ek4?

or is the insurance to much? which is understandable lol

Insurance is the only reason I havnt got either of those two already lol
****ers!

ah yea man. well tbh i wanted a ek4/9 at your age, i held out 1 more year and then i could afford a SiR with the money i saved. a ej9 might be slow but if you wanted something quick it would cost a **** load more on fuel. Especially if you do a fair few miles

Thing is though I'm only getting 350 miles from a tank lol

thats good. i get 250 out of a tank on my sir. 300 miles if i do sensible motorway miles
