hi guys this is my long overdue build thread i have owned this car for 4 years now i think... time flies when your having fun!! this is how she was when i bought the car from up banchory way

she looked okay slight bubbling on the back arches and for some strange reason the front arches were pretty rusty a lot worse than the rears which i hadn't seen before

back arches

front arches

wasn't too happy with this but the car drove great pulled well and sounded great, also had a few nice mods on it so i bought her

i got her home and gave her a good wash, clay, polish and wax

other than the obvious rust the rest of the bodywork was in very good condition!

i thought the handling was pretty good but there was a slight pull to the left so i ordered up a camber kit and rear drop links as they were knocking ever so slightly and fitted camber arms and lca's

when i removed my old lca's i quickly noticed there was a problem the new ones were far too short

i spoke to gerry from performance tek and he told me they were actually for an e.g. so i fitted my old ones back on the bushes were in good nick so i didn't mind too much.
also when inspecting the front camber arms i wasn't happy with the quality so i didn't bother fitting them either
(waste of money) haha buy cheap buy twice lesson learnt!!
I was working at mercedes at the time and they had great alignment gauges so i set the car up with a fast road setup and the car drove great!

i then gave it a service, when i got the car it had a great service history and recent belt and clutch but i thought i would do a full service for piece of mind so i replaced timing belt water pump, all aux belts, plugs and fuel filter sorry no pics for this.

then a couple of weeks later the drivers interior lock snapped, so off to honda to get a replacement.

ordered up a new one which wasn't cheap but then again nothing honda ever is!

i noticed when i stripped it that the door membrane was all torn so i got a new one and fitted that at the same time

better doing it while i was in there, fitted it all up and gave the interior a good clean.
this is a few pictures in the workshop p.s the toolbox is my other baby!!

my brother bought a dslr so i thought i would steal it for a day and see how i got on... not to bad i don't think admittedly these are all on auto mode haha

then my mate with his bike turned up this would have been rude not to photo!!

i got sent on a course with mercedes and i think anyone into f1 or even just cars will love this picture here... sorry for going off on a tangent but searching through all my photos on my laptop to make this up is uncovering some forgotten memories!!

this is lewis hamilton f1 car exploded with every part of the car individually hung from the roof it makes a cracking insight into what formula1 cars actually look like stripped. this was at mb world at brooklands anyone can go in and walk around for free and if your anywhere near i highly recommend!!

the next thing on the cards was to sort out this rust... into the bodyshop she goes
i chipped the paint off to see how bad the wings were

turns out they were bad so they got replaced with new ones!

the back arches cleaned up to fresh metal and i wanted to keep the original arches if at all possible so back to bare metal and treated

whilst we were there the inside of the wings on the body got voted in sealer to protect everything as did the underside but no pics of the underside unfortunately!!

i got the ariel removed as i never listen to it anyway and the front bumper smoothed over

i was going to smooth the standard tailgate ( de wiper and de lock along with no h badge on the boot but craig harley at unit 6 spares had an ek9 tailgate at his lockup so i purchased that to save unnecessary work

i was happy with everything else no hidden surprises sills etc were very clean

i fancied trying something different as i don't like to blend in with everyone else's mods, so i got the bonnet boot and spoiler carbon wrapped which i thought looked quite good ( don't hold back with opinions i am a big boy and won't cry) but i know isn't to everyones taste

i wasn't happy with the window trims so i phoned mr honda and priced up new bottom and side door window trims both sides... i got off the phone feeling like i had been violated :eek:mg: as they wanted a small fortune for 4 trims.. i didn't go for this and instead wrapped these as well and turned out amazingly i think

typical i got the car back at night so a couple of quick photos

this was finished in october 2012 and i moved through to edinburgh in january 2013 so things slowed up due to having to pay rent etc... well the rust on the back arches didn't slow down as it was back within 6 months which was annoying... all that money and treatments that 'kill' the rust felt like it was for nothing... here are a couple photos before the rust came back

i think it looks really good

in the mean time as if the rust wasn't bad enough i came out of work to find someone had scraped my bumper and drove off :bang: :bang: :****: :****:

i was back visiting my parents in dundee and my friends nephew had just bought a jordan so i got a phonecall to come see it... on my way to go see the car i found him...

don't worry this isn't mine!! we got it out the field and assessed the damage... remarkably very little here is it the next day except the obvious missing splitter it isn't too bad considering

here is my car and the mrs car when she got her's

the rota t3's had been bugging me for a while as a car i regularly drove past had them in red also ( even though mines were going pink) so they had to go... i had a look around and decided to be different again... cue the haters...

personally i liked them... it looked better in person honest!!! haha

shortly after i did something silly....

my work had an s2000 in work and of course me being honda daft jamp at the chance to work on one... then came the road test... in the rain...
i had always liked them but after driving one and having it sideways all over the place (sales car of course and on private land (vtec) ) i was sold i love them and this will be my next car... but don't worry i can never see me selling my jordan!

after driving my car for a while it wasn't the same due tho the massive amount of unsprung weight the was the ronal turbo's it just didn't handle like it used to... so time for another set of wheels!! this time it was a more accepted choice as these have been my ultimate wheel since gran turismo on the playsation back in the day!!!

here is another one of it with the te37's on it being slightly overshadowed by my friends gtr

i tried fitting an n1 back box to change it up a bit but it didn't fit... I'm pretty unlucky haha

i then treated her to another bit of maintenance sorry about the lack of service photos and mechanical... i do it all day so don't find it interesting but she gets oil and filer changes usually every 2000 miles with genuine honda filter. but there was a leaky driveshaft seal so mtf was changed this time too along with 2 ball joints one had slight play so i done both

was getting really annoyed at the jordan seats as they were letting the car down! so off i went and bought a set of dc2 recaro's on dc2 rails

6 months later having a spirited drive my clutch decided it wanted a divorce... so box out...

i treated her to a nice new oem honda 3 piece clutch kit, replaced the clutch fork with another new poem honda item and decided to put a fidenza lightened flywheel with new honda spigot bearing in

3 weeks after this the unthinkable happened... i went down to my car the day after the independence vote to get into my car and find someone had broken into my car... they had not done any damage to the outside what so ever to the point i sat in my car before i had noticed... i thought i had left the cubby hole drawer open and thats what was hitting my knees but no... my steering cowel had been ripped down and the back of the ignition lock had been removed on closer inspection they had stolen my head unit and various other things that were in my car... i was devastated like proper gutted i sort of fell out of love with my car for a while... it felt like you had just found out you had been cheated on!! luckily enough my immobiliser had stopped them from getting away with the car!

a couple months past and i had hardly looked at her and then i decided to give her a good clean and clay, polish, wax and fell back in love

the rust really got bad over the winter on the back arches so she is currently in getting them cut out and will have an update again soon but yea thats my story so far thanks for reading any questions, comments, criticisms, tips etc welcome thanks for reading sorry about all the pictures

Good wee read thanks for that bud. Nice Jordan man don't lose heart because off scumbags carma is a bitch lol. Keep it up

Good stuff, I am sorry but I laughed at the Jordan in the field
