Many Thanks

Moray

I was 17 when i first started in a civic, it was a 1.5 and it cost me 2354 euro. i always found it cheaper on the net, rang them and they always said that they wouldn't insure me until i was over 21. its just gonna be expensive on his own name, goodluck anyways, if u wanna try some irish insurance company for cheapest insurance, i recomend quinn direct!

Its a 1.4 we are trying on line best quote is just under £2.5k but must be paid in one lump sum. Next best is £3300 but paying monthly its then nearly £3.9k Flux were over £4k bell were £6330.

Anyone..

All the price comparison sites. All the one's you listed are in my eyes for sporty type cars.

Compare the Meerkat ect.

Add an older person to the policy as a named driver. or even make yourself the poilcy holder and him the named driver. Mess about with excesses ect.
Good luck :nice:

Thanks guys have a fully feeling £2500 with ecar is about as good as its going to get. We did try meercat and it was really high, but thanks for the suggestion was worth a try. Funny buying the car used to be the hard part.

Man alive ins. is so extortionate to young drivers atm! has your boys done pass plus? Dunoo about today but when I passed in 05 it literally saved me about £900 with tesco :nice:

I had issues getting insurance when I was 17 on my first car which was a Saxo VTR, cheapest I got was £1800 with Bell. Currently the cheapest company I've found to insure our cars is with Admiral & Elephant who are sister companies. Plus if you do Admiral Multi-car insurance its also cheaper.

:nono: same problem, im stiil thinking about even getting a civic due to the high insurance, might just keep it in the garage gleaming for a year till ncb builds up

Hi we have spent hours and hours on this and it seems like the premiums for a 17 year old today are pretty extreme. We tried a Group 1 insurance car and it didnt really make much difference in the price of premium. So decided to stick with the EJ9 as it was only a few pounds more.

i have just bought a 1.4i s civic and i'm 17 and got it for £1100 as a named driver and fully comp on zurich, spend about 4 hours looking around and was getting quotes of £8800. good luck mate

my insurance is with directline always been the cheapest for my civic! But first car was £1300 for a ford fiesta but then i seen sense and converted to Honda :p

i paid 2.2k on insurance third party on 1.4 ej9 when i was 17. its all about your postcode
