Hey is it worth keeping the rubbers on the back arches of my civic it seems to me that they just gather more crap ?

more likely to cause corrosion within time if you keep them on

id be scared to take them off incase you find a pile of rust.

protect the tires too if you get it lowered. no rough edges touching rubber and no paint taken off the arch (which will lead to more rust lol)

long term they do more harm than good, i removed mine a while back and now wish car never came with them when new

Im in 2 minds here lol ill put them back on once ive had the car resprayed to be on the safe side :)

nobody mentioned a re-spray... take them off... keep them off from what iceman says.

no no no. they are designed (poor design) to keep water, crap and salt off the painted surface of the arches but once water and salt gets in (which it will in a year or so) it can't escape and will start to rust the inside of the arch keep them off, get it wax oiled underneath and keep a fresh layer of wax on the painted suface

A know no one mentioned a respray waz ya smart arse it was me that mentioned it because a dont want them rusting like ur car if ur gonna be a smart arse keep ur comments to urself cheers jason ill do that pal :)

He wasn't trying to be a smarty he's just saying take them off regardless of respay or not! You asked for opinions/ advice so chill like a chilly dog!

I took mine off....both the civic jordan i had and now the dc2.

In my opinion they do more harm than good, they just trap a load of crap.

I always fully wash and dry the arches every time i clean the car and make sure they are well waxed.

As said above i would take them off and leave them off...just get the car fully undersealed with waxoyl after the respray.

Some people remove them, and fill them with waxoyl and reapply them...however after seeing what was under them on the DC2, they will never be going back on!
