cannot get insurance ANYWHERE

I just got my hands on a nice dc2 JDM Type R. got it for just over €2000 because my friend moved to canada and its sitting up in his garage gathering dust.

But thats neither here nor there.

I am 22 and have 5 years NCB and 5 years full license but NO one will quote me. i have been looking at some older threads and i am wondering is anyone else having trouble insuring cars anymore?

With the fall of quinn-direct and me still owing them 520€ from a policy about 4 years ago they are strictly out of the question because i refuse to pay them.

So does anyone know of any companies/brokers that take youngish drivers on mental cars?

I have also thought of insuring my GF's car and driving the teg on third party extension. but i still need to have it insured by someone. and because you can only use your no claims on one policy i cant ask my ma or da or anything to try insure it because they will lose their no claims on their own car.
 
rang my own insurance company there as a last resort to try change over to the teg, my renewal is in 2 weeks and they actually gave me a quote. when i told the guy what car it was and all the details he said sorry mate your not going to like this. its an extra 800 euro on top of the 400 a year now. (a smile lands on my face from ear to ear) "So you're telling me yous will insure me for a year, on a dc2 R for €1200 at the age of 22?????" I was so happy i took fully comp and full no claims for the extra 200 :D i really thought they were going to say something like 4 grand for me thats why i was so reluctant to ring them, but after exploring every other option, now i dont have to do anything fraudulent or illegitimate and can actually drive the car without worrying!

moral of the story, just check with your own insurance company first :)

didnt actually manage to get a quote of anyone!!! but i just changed vehicle on my own policy and they had to quote me...
