cam upgrade??

Hey I'm thinking of upgrading my cams to ones that are more aggressive than what I am currently running. Currently running itr cams in a b16a2 with mugen twinloop, 4-1 manifold and jays racing slug. I plan on doing a bit of head work in the future too. Anyone have any experience of the skunk2 tuner stg2 or stg3 or pro stg1?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
 
pro 1 work well on b16 but sk2 stage 2 are overkill unless you have good compression to run them should look into pistons ctr ones would help head work springs retainers the usual port polish etc
 
Have you got a mapable ecu as well? Otherwise the cams will not make any improvement whatsoever
. Skunk 2 stage 2 would be a good upgrade if you had valve springs and retainers to go in along with them. Confine them, with some head work and a free flowing exhaust and you'll be seeing some nice gains!
 
If you want a good improve the low and mid rpm´s them the buddy club spec III will do it for you.
 
Just a standard ecu at the minute but ill be getting a hondata s300 over the summer and intend to get started on the head coming into autumn. I was thinking of going with with ek9 pistons and valve springs, skunk2 retainers and high compression valves, edelbrock intake manifold, aem fuel rail, high pressure fuel pump and bigger injectors. And I'm unsure of what cams to get as I'm new to civics. I intend to drive the car on a regular basis so need some advice. With these sort of upgrades and a good map what sort of gains would I be looking at?
 
tuner 2's or 3's would make significant gains from your setup if you already have decent intake & headers & exhaust

skunk 2 stage 2 (tuner) is similar to skunk2 pro 1s so surley they both work well or both are overkill? with the pro1 the more agressive of the two?

i had tuner stage 2 on a b16a2 needed more compresion to get most out of them but was better than stock, gave 190odd at the fly ,

I bought the car with the itr cams in it so I can't say how they compare to the standard ones man. 190 wouldn't be too bad that's a good gain over stock... Think ill be going for the pro stg1 or tuner stg2 so.
 
With the money your going to spend on the b16 with cams,springs,retainers,head work,ctr pistons,labour costs,and hondata would you not consider buying a good b18c and spending some money on miner mods and you will come out with the same bhp figures if not more from the b16..?thats just my opinion ...what your looking to do is going to take allot of££££££..
