Buying an ek9 privatly or through a dealer

Im thinking of buying an ek9 privatly, but how do i know its not an ex damaged one, he said he bought it through a dealer and not an auction.

Its not been de-restricted or converted from KMPH to MPH.

I was considering one from WRC sales, but they dont seem to know much.

He takes time to think about things when i ask about the auction sheet which he replies we should be able to get it, and he says the same thing about the service history.
 
I think people, not just yourself, worry too much about the auction report etc etc.

If the auction report says it has not been crashed, does that 100% mean it hasn't?

How much do you know about the cars you buy here in th UK anyway? They don't have auction reports or damage reports etc...

Just be carfull and use your own professional judgement on on the matter or get a professional to go along with you.
 
If you want me to come to WRC with you, I can. I live in a small village just heading out of Bradford. Best way to check for accident damage is to check for repair signs, life the bonnet and look for creases etc.

Just arrange a time with me as im so busy at the moment I havent had the chance to get a shave or haircut in ages, lol.
 
personally if i was buying am import in the uk i would expect the seller to know everything about the car even if its private he should have asked all the questions from the dealer.

If you have doubts or the car seems to good to be true it normally is so i'd get it checked over and if your still in doubt id walk away.
 
I beleive the japs are an honest breed of beings, unlike britain there are so many rouges out there only after your money and not customer satisfaction, im not saying that it doesnt happen in japan but ill bet that it happens alot less frequently than ome of the chancers that brits have to deal with!
