buying a ek9 type r ! what too look out for?

what do i have to look out for when buying a 1998 ek9 type r? bad points and common problems. all help appreciated.

Main ting is rust, around the rear arches, sills, underbody

Rust mainly as already stated, burning oil , rub the oil see if theres any flakes in it if so its bad, rattles / bangs . heres a link to a more in depth guide, its literly stickyed at the top of the thread haha use the search bar !

Rusty horrible arches, make sure it's not burning oil, vtec kicks in, no nasty noises engines, check under the boot carpet for holes

hey ina few weeks i will have a 1997 civic type r 1.6 champ white, i was wondering how much it would be worth in a relitivly good condition?

Also check for accident damage as a lot where imported like this then fixed water lying in the boot is a common problem but easy fixed also just check the engine code and make shure it is a b16b in it ..

Gear synchro's, 3rd gear is common to get notchy.
