So been pretty quiet on car progress recently due to the wedding ect, managed to get myself an apprenticeship in hgv driving so all thats happening at the moment. I have been thinking about breaking the car over the last few weeks and using the money to go towards an ek9 or sir but i think i am just going to continue on with the build and get the chassis sorted out ready for a b series conversion.
Put the car on my brothers drive whilst i was away on honeymoon which was a bit of a farce:
Was a pretty close fit haha, managed to get myself a garage so the car will be getting moved there soon. Also re-trimmed the door cards in black suede to fit in better with the seats etc. Few random shots of the car.
Mine, rippu's and steves coupe
Next on the to do list is bodywork, get the drivers side rear arch replaced and a new passenger door to get rid of the crease, new mirrors and door handles then that should be the exterior sorted for now, then on to chassis.
Cheers lads. I wasnt to keen on them either to be honest. But with holes in the wings and bumpers its not the easiest fix haha. They have came in handy a few times in fairness.
Appreciate it lads, thank you. As for the engine I'm not sure, will most likely get a donor car in the form of an ek4. So will just be a b16 to start with.
the wax job and the Volks look amazing. I was under the impression that the UK and most European EK's didn't have the front bumper crash beam support bar.
