Alright everyone, iv just fitted some meister r's(zeta s) to my teg and im finding the ride to be extreay bouncy/hard! Its like the front end does not move, iv tried playing about with the damping but if anything just makes it extreamly stiff! Would this be down to the spring rate or something else? The spring rate is what meister specify so id assume that should be ok. The last suspension i had on the car done the exact same thing very hard and there was no movement at the front and that was with the standard shocks and lowering springs. Iv changed a my bushes to hyper flex ones and have adjustable hardrace upper camber arms at the front.

Anyone got any idea how i could get it to stop bouncing as its very hard to drive with it being way to bouncy/hard and very annoying!

Thanks for any help.

Did you get the coilovers second hand? Sounds like a burst damper.

They r brand new mate done bout 200miles. I think iv set them up wrong...i think iv set the pre load on the spring right up so there is hardly any movement so gonna adjust them in a bit and see how it goes.

I would run them on normal ride height on 50/50 setting for 500-1000 miles just to let them bed in. Then slowly lower them after. Its with all new uprated parts, they need a bed in period.

x2

i did the same with my coilovers until they bed in

Have you adjusted them properly? No offence intended but alot of people move the spring rather than the whole unit into the bottom if that makes sense.

Too much preload on the spring,
Take a picture of it and I'll tell you if its pre load, sounds like it though.

Iv sorted it guys, managed to do a rookie mistake :angry2: haha

I was adjusting the pre load of the spring not the bottom part of the coilover as thats wot adjusts the height haha.

Thanks for all the replys though
