Hi All

I’m currently reassembling my ek9 and the wiring for the Bosch horns on the headlight harness looks to be an absolute mess. I expect someone back in the day was playing with it.

Does anyone have a guide or pictures of their own as to how the wiring and the horns should looks installed on the front ?

Thanks
D

its a single pin plug. the horn grounds itself against the chassis.

quick google search come up with that image.

not sure what horn i have but i have the most high pitched thing in the world. made sure my mate got me one like this hahah.

Incase it helps, the wire connects to the same circuit as the brake light switch, located in the fusebox in engine bay.

Had to tap into mine as there was a short on the horn side I couldnt find

Funny thing you say this. my car wouldnt start after i put fuel into it back when i had injector driver issues, bumping it start did. on the way back to my garage my horn didnt work, parked it up for a few weeks. 'borrowed' a workshop manual from work that said that both horn and brake lights were on the same circuit. noticed brake lights didnt work.

Turned out for some reason, the way i did my battery relocation, blowing the 80 amp fuse stopped both horn and brakes and starting from working as normal. But car would still drive with all other electrics working
