Hi guy
I'm thinking in buying a bee r launch control for my ek4 but I want to know If there any harm to my car first?
Thanks

purplecivicturbo on civiclife makes these. with his equipment the theory with the unit is that by cutting ignition as opposed to fuel, there is no risk of a fuel inlet reduction which could lead to a lean out at high revs.

I don't see any way of one of these 'launch control' systems working well for your engine.
If it cuts the ignition you just end up dumping fuel into the cylinders leading to bore washing

If it cuts fuel then it could run lean.

I've tried these before and found them guff in terms of faster 1/4 and 0-60 times. When you hit the limiter the revs drop sometimes as much as 500 rpm. That means if you miss time it you're trying to launch at lower revs.
Better just trying to balance the throttle where you get the best launch than muck about with one of these IMO.

Some people say u need a new set of valves if set to much for the pops, i fitted mine but sold it as thought that i might aswell get a remap with it on the ecu.

There fun tho, work better with an lsd box apparently too
