Hi everyone

Thinking of relocating my battery in to the boot but don't exactly know what I need to do the conversion

Is there a guild or and think step by step

Thanks

Not the answer you're looking for, but just leave it where it is.

The actual relocation of weight is not worth the money, work or the fact that you have to add weight to achieve it. Plus there are some good reasons why the battery is fitted the other side of the firewall as standard.

Just spend your money on a racing battery and fit it in the standard location.

It's easy to do but you need to put the battery in a fibreglass box in case of an 'off', longer live lead and earth too the floor

Biggest pain for me was getting the bolts holding the fibreglass box to the floor tight as the nuts were between the floor and the tank so that had to be dropped to tighten them, not hard but time consuming

I had fire extinguisher behind drivers seat and no room behind passenger seat

Instead of nuts and bolts you could use rivnuts, you basically just drill a hole, fit the rivnut and you're left with a captive thread to tighten a bolt into. Theyre quite handy for things like this!

Dont move it. Make the battery lighter is all you should do. Ive done the relocation and also the lighter battery option; lighter battery wins.
