B20 powered EF9 SiR


Yes thats right. No thanks to the system here in my country which makes cars only last ten years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certificate_of_Entitlement

Mine is lucky to have its certificate Renewed and it will last till 2021. 6 EF9s including mine were grey imported from japan. and sadly mine is the only example left here. Many Great cars were reduced to half cuts thanks to this ridiculous system here. A failed system IMHO.

Wow thats retarded what retard made that system what do ye do so after the ten years sell it on abroad??

after 10 years we can either renew it at the cost of the average of last 3 biddings for another 10 or 5 years. but if you choose the 5 year option, the car has to be scrapped at the end of 5 years. but however since my EF9 is reaching 30 years come 2021, come 35 years i can convert it to classic car plate which then almost make me keep the EF forever lol

Quick Update: Got New suspension Bits for my car though... KW V3 and ST Oversized Sway Bars. That kinda finishes what I've needed in the handling department. Got a new CNC ported Cylinder head and inlet manifold from 4 piston racing. Should arrive about next week. Would post the updates on the increase in HP and torque. should be way better than this current setup. In case you havent heard of 4piston racing, heres their site : http://www.team4piston.com
 
How long are your conrods? You say custom length so wondered how long they are?

Edit: sorry opened my eyes and see 105mm lol

yes I'm still using the B20 Crank. the rod was lengthened to 105mm for better rod ratio which makes the engine more rev happy and smoother at the higher end. If i remember correctly and the piston skirt shortened (gudgeon pin offset was also different btw so that the piston wont potrude out of the block during TDC) compression ratio was 12.5:1. wiesco pistons and BC rods.

Just had the 4piston Racing CNC ported Cylinder head and the Skunk 2 ULTRA STREET mainfold (also CNC Ported by 4piston Racing) Installed. Compression is also now 12.8:1. Power is now 225HP At the wheel. Torque is about 210NM at the wheel also. Main difference obviously was the high end. In my old Build with the buddyclub Spec 6 Cams engine didnt have torque at High RPMs despite HP increasing. Now that has changed. Really Satisfied with the result. Anything more I guess is a COP system with a MOTEC ECU. But that would not be anytime soon.
