B18C4 with lsd swap into ej9

So i have just put the deposit down on a b18c4 with lsd box and it will be payed off in 2/3 weeks.

It's probably been covered a million times over but im on my **** blackberry and it doesn't seem to want to find anything.

So i was thinking do i have ago at doing this myself with abit of help just book a few days off work an do it over a long weekend an have a look through the b18 haynes manual an try have ago or is it best if you dont have much mechanical knowledge about engines just send it into a place to get properly done? And how much would you be looking at for that?

Or try find someone off the forums who wants a nice little cash job to give me a hand with it who know what there doin the thought of all the wiring loom an driveshafts an that doesnt make me so keen on it haha.

I just dont know what to do any help or advice much appreciated :D

All this wiring stuff confuses me!

Basically ill have the full mb6 loom an ecu an the key so i dont think there will be a problem with the immoboliser. so what else would i actually need.

its basially unplug the existing wiring loom and plug in the new with the wiring harness or course.
 
Wiring harness come with the mb6 loom or do i need to buy one or what?

From what Ive heard you can use an ek4 loom and Ecu, the mb6 Ecu would be more suited though as the Vtec crossover is lower and suited for the c4. It's not a hard job but if you haven't done one before I suppose it could be.
 
what year is your car on mate

if its prefacelift 96-98 then you need obd2a wiring loom from a ek4/ek9

if its facelift 99-00 then you need obd2b wiring loom from a ek4/ek9

also you will need rear ek4/ek9 L mount and the ek4/ek9 dual post mount

the mb wiring loom and barrel and stuf are no good mate, once you have the bits on top what i have listed then just buy a harness with a p30 ecu or p28 chipped

harness's if you using the p30/p28 ecu

prefacelift is obd2a-obd1
facelift is obd2b-obd1
 
R reg 98 pal so im guessing obd2a loom?
And how much am i looking to pay for obd2a loom an ecu an the mounts? Cant imagine these being easy to come across like?

I used chipped p28 itr map. Ecu harness
skunk2 intake
ek9 cams
makes things alot easier then
 
Used an integra map on a c4? an how come ek9 cams whats the pros an cons there?
