So i just recently finished up the main portion on my B16B swap into my 97 civic dx 2dr. For wiring I used an OBD2a EX wire harness and the PCT OBD2a ECU. Everything seems plugged up except these 3 plugs that I am not sure what to do with:

this one is right next to the alternator...

this one is next to the ect sensor...

this one is on the fuel rail...

and here is where i rewired the primary o2 sensor...

when i first got the car back it was running and idling pretty okay and vtec was kicking in around 6k RPM but the CEL was always on and it was reading the following codes:

6 ECT - water temperature sensor
14 IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve
41 Primary oxygen sensor heater

This morning i rewired the o2 to reach the correct location, unplugged the ECT for a little while and cleaned the IACV. Got the o2 in and plugged the ECT back in and put the IACV back after cleaning it. Left the ECU unplugged for a while and then just plugged it back in and tried to start the car again and here is the results (notice i can baby it down to idle and it will idle, pretty roughly, but if i just let the RPM drop it will die every time):

B16B start up with IACV CEL

Now after all this the only code coming up as of right now is:

14 IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve
as seen in this video

I just cleaned the IACV thoroughly and checked the Ohms through it (11.5 steady while it was unplugged) so I assume it is okay, and i am using an EX wire harness so it is already the 2 wire. Should I just replace this part? That is my guess but I am not trying to just throw money around so some insight on this could help save me money (im very poor). The car idled fine yesterday and all ive done is drive it around the block a couple times...

ok first remember that harness its from a single cam usdm and few plugs may need to be removed or add to work with your jdm dohc engine
#the 3 wire plug on the alternater side its the crank position sensor
#the plug on the fuel rail its the evap purge control solenoid valve
#the 3rd one you got me on the one cant really tell it looks like they made the harness i check and let you know any info i get on that
hope this its usefull

all codes are gone and everything runs perfect. i guess i wasted money on the EX harness because i still had to repin the IACV even though i was told i wouldnt, weird but its done and that fixed it. at least i did not have to wire vtec ect.

thanks for the response elbuitre104!

thread is done.
