Hi I'm new here,
I bought a B16B full swap on Ebay to replace my D16Z6 in my EG.
I'm expecting it to arrive here in Iceland sometime next month :)
I am the only one that I know of here in Iceland that owns a B16B motor so this is very exciting for me :D

I was thinking about tuning my engine and thought about asking what you would recommend as I don't know very much about engine tuning :)

What air filters do you recommend and what diameter exhaust (my friend is going to build me one, I only have to give him the diameter)

What else do you think would be my best choice for engine tuning for 500-750 pounds

Hope to learn a lot from this site

Thank You

Depends what your power goal is? as you wont get much power for that money. Most would start with manifold and induction an good ecu and a map Get most power when you got those parts but again you lookin for the best parts or just basics as you get what you pay for i spent about that on mugen manifold and brand new apexi exhaust, manifold is best start free up so hp an torque an better for when you get exhaust most prob got a 2 or 2.5 I personally got a 2.5 diameter exhaust different people different set ups

Thanks for answering

I was thinking about trying to get 190 hp if possible. Money is not the issue here but 750 is what I was trying to use, but I can go all the up to 2000 if that is what I need to pay for getting 190+ hp and lots of torque.

What ECU do you recommend? That is what I have no idea about :nerv:

And I was thinking about buying the Spoon Manifold and getting a 2.5 diameter exhaust with N1 Spoon tailpipe. I'm also thinking about buying the PasswJDM Powerchamber intake. is that any good?
thanks in advance.

Do you have a tuner in Iceland?

Not a specialized Honda tuner but i know a guy that can map standalone ECU's and OEM ECU's. don't know if he has done any Honda tuning. but he lives in denmark and only comes to Iceland 1x or 2x a year and he is always busy when he comes here.

I can try to find a guy that can map the computer but I don't think that anyone knows precisely what to do.

All information is appreciated. I don't even know of any ECU's other than the Spoon, can you name any other brand that works with non turbo B16B's?

ya a password jdm intake should be good as its a copy of the j's racing one which is savage :) definitly recommend it,if you cant get a tuner to remap your car your prob best going for a spoon, mugen or j's racing ecu but not sure you'll get 190 from them as not re-mappable , but if you can get tuner then standalone is your best choice , hondata & apex-i are good ones, there plenty out there that should be up to the job, and you cant go wrong with a full spoon exhaust system :) hope this helps & makes sense haha

That did make sense and thanks for the info :D I appreciate it very much :D
I think I will go for the Spoon ECU, exhaust and the password JDM intake.
I think that would be a good combination. I'll go later into other tuning :D
